invalidate the warranty.

Do not attempt to service your S-68-PRO beyond what is described in this manual. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.

SERVICE

Questions or issues with your Furman unit should be directed to the Furman Customer Service Department, available 8 AM-4 PM Pacific Time at (707) 763-1010 or via email at techsupport@furmansound.com if a unit requires service, it must have an RA number assigned from Furman’s Customer Service Department. Before returning any equipment for repair, please be sure that it is adequately packed and cushioned against damage in shipment, and that it is insured. We suggest that you save the original packaging and use it to ship the product for service. Also, please enclose a brief note giving your name, address, phone number, and a description of the problem. Please display your RA number.

1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

SAVE YOUR SALES RECEIPT The receipt is your proof of purchase and confirms the product was purchased at an authorized Furman dealer. It will need to be submitted to Furman in order to process any warranty claims.
Furman, a brand of Nortek Security & Control, warrants its SS-6B-PRO (the “Product ) as follows: Furman warrants to the original purchaser of the product that the product sold hereunder will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. If the product does not conform to this Limited Warranty during the warranty period (as herein above specified), the purchaser shall notify Furman of the claimed defects by calling 707-763- 1010 or via email (techsupport@furmansound.com)

This warranty also does not apply to products upon which repairs have been affected or attempted by persons other than pursuant to written authorization by Furman.

THIS WARRANTY IS EXcLUSIVE.

The sole and exclusive obligation of Furman shall be to repair or replace the defective product in the manner and for the period provided above. Furman shall not have any other obligaton with respect to the products or any part thereof, whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise. Under no circumstances, whether based on this Limited Warranty or otherwise, shall Furman be liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages. This Limited Warranty states the entire obligation of Furman with respect to the product. If any part of this Limited Warranty is determined to be void or illegal, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.

Is this a surge protector or just a power strip? Not used to buying something without a Joules rating. Help! Need for my whole TV setup?
It provides 540 Joules protection as well as EMI and RFI protection.. Furman is one of the best names in power conditioning for MUSICAL equipment. That should definitely be considered. I’ve used this brand for decades with zero problems. I’m currently using an M8lx conditioner and one of these branching off of it for added protection of a Gibson guitar/Marshall amp setup with numerous add-on equipment (pedals/PA amps etc.)
What is the let through rating on this surge protector?
Electrical Rating: 15A, 1800 Watt; Voltage protection rating L-N 400V, L-G 400V, N-G 400V. Type 3 SPD. I like it because of the extra-long cord.
Does anyone know what amount of current will pop the breaker on this? I assume 15 amps can’t seem to confirm that.
I have tested it with a 600 Watts Oster Blender and a Bosch driller at the same time, because I had to cut the power plug, to use a Neutrik NAC3FC-HC PowerCon, and it doesn’t pop, or be hot, It is made to be reliable so it was made like the main power strip, I also connect it a 1600w vacuum cleaner and not a problem.

Can I use this for my iMac and speakers studio monitor?

Can this be used as a power line conditioner on my generator?
I would not recommend using a MOV-based surge protector with a generator. The MOVs shunt to the ground and the generator may not have a ground line. There have been fires started when MOV surge protectors are used in ungrounded power situations.
Would this protect two individually powered speakers so that they could be turned on and off with the Furman rather than individually?
That I’m not sure. I do know that typically it is best to turn off powered speakers and monitors using the onboard power controls themselves. I might be concerned that turning them off using the power switch might blow the speakers unless they were turned down completely ahead of time. I am not an engineer.
I seem to have a problem with electrical noise that may come from an elevator. Recommendation for a good noise filer?
I had a similar problem in my recording studio. I connected all devices to several of these units and the problem disappeared.
Is this better than a surge protector at reducing noise? I get a lot of electric guitar hum from kitchen appliances/heaters and a lot of emf rf hum.
Yes better than a surge protector, but it will not eliminate all noise.
Does this help filter ground hum noise?
Yes, it fixed my ground hum issues. It doesn’t fix all noise issues but it will fix most of them.
