Safety Instructions
- Operate the FRITZ!Repeaters in a dry place that is free of dust and protected from direct sunlight, and provide for sufficient ventilation.
- The FRITZ!Repeaters are intended for indoor use only. Never let liquids get inside the housing.
- Connect the FRITZ!Repeaters to easily accessible outlets.
- Do not open the FRITZ!Repeaters. Opening and/or repairing the devices can present a hazard.
- Unplug the FRITZ!Repeaters from the outlet before cleaning. Clean the device using a moist cloth.
FRITZ!Mesh Set 4200
The FRITZ!Mesh Set 4200 consists of 3 or 2 FRITZ!Repeaters that you can place around your home to supply your devices with Wi-Fi.

Set up a FRITZ!Mesh Set via app
- Connect a FRITZ!Repeater to a power outlet near the router or modem.
- Set up the FRITZ!Repeater in the MyFRITZ!App on your smartphone or tablet:
If the app isn’t installed yet:
• Scan the QR code 2 with your smartphone or tablet.
The MyFRITZ!App is installed and connects your device to the FRITZ!Repeater.
If the app is already installed:
• Start the app and tap Settings or ⚙️ in the menu.
• Tap “Set up new FRITZ! product“.
Follow the instructions in the app to set up the FRITZ!Mesh Set.

Mesh with FRITZ!
Once configuration has been completed, Mesh with FRITZ! offers you stable and comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage in all of your rooms.
The FRITZ!Mesh Set combines the Wi-Fi networks of the individual FRITZ!Repeaters to a large, powerful Wi-Fi network. In the Mesh, there is a shared Wi-Fi network name and network key.
Additional individual FRITZ!Repeaters can be used to extend the FRITZ!Mesh Set. For more information, see en.avm.de/mesh.
Position the FRITZ!Repeaters from the FRITZ!Mesh Set
Once configuration of the FRITZ!Mesh Set is complete, you can check the Mesh connections on all of the FRITZ!Repeaters.
If a FRITZ!Repeater has a weak Mesh connection, select a location with better connection quality. If the LEDs are lit up green, then the Mesh connection is good and the FRITZ!Repeater is ideally positioned.
MyFRITZ!App makes it easy to find the ideal location for the FRITZ!Repeater.
An overview of the LEDs conditions representing the connection quality is printed on the FRITZ! Notes or can be found in the manual available at en.avm.de/service.
Open User Interface
The FRITZ!Mesh Set has a user interface which can be opened with MyFRITZ!App or in your web browser.
- Start a web browser on your computer, tablet or smartphone.
- Enter the address http://fritz.repeater
(or: http://fritzrepeater.local).
The user interface of the FRITZ!Mesh Set appears - Enter the FRITZ!Repeater password.
You can find the FRITZ!Repeater password on your FRITZ! Notes and on the bottom of the FRITZ!Repeaters.
The “Overview” page of the user interface shows you the most important information about your FRITZ!Mesh Set. Various menu items offer settings options such as name of the Wi-Fi network, Wi-Fi guest access, parental controls, and LED brightness.
Radio Frequencies and Transmitter Power
- 2.4 GHz – 2.483 GHz, maximum 100 mW
- 5.15 GHz – 5.35 GHz, maximum 200 mW
- 5.47 GHz – 5.725 GHz, maximum 1000 mW
In AT, BE, BG, CY, CZ, DE, DK, EE, EL, ES, FI, FR, HR, HU, IE, IT, LT, LU, LV, MT, NL, PL, PT, RO, SE, SI, SK, and UK (NI), Wi-Fi between 5.15 GHz and 5.35 GHz may only be used indoors.
