Preparation Steps:
- Power On the Battery
Press the ON button to power on the battery.
- Ensure Wi-Fi Signal
Before connecting the antenna, ensure Wi-Fi signal is available
near the battery location. If not, consider using a Wi-Fi range
extender or running an Ethernet cable. - Connecting the Antenna
Connect the antenna to the battery connector securely.
- Access the Battery’s Wi-Fi Access Point (AP)
Locate the battery’s Wi-Fi network named FW_ followed by the
last 6 digits of the serial number. Connect to this network using
the password: Freedom Won.
Connecting to the Internet:
Wi-Fi Connection:
- Ensure the battery is powered on.
- Check for Wi-Fi signal availability near the battery.
- Connect the antenna to the battery securely.
- Access the battery’s Wi-Fi network and connect using password:
Freedom Won.
Ethernet Connection:
- If Wi-Fi connection is unavailable, connect the battery to the
network via Ethernet cable.
Final Steps:
- Once connected, proceed to the portal for further setup.

Connecting a Freedom Won Home LiTE 2 Unit to the Internet

This guide will walk you through the procedure of connecting the Freedom Won Home LiTE 2 battery to an existing network. The steps outlined here should be followed after the battery has been properly set up according to the Freedom Won Installation Manual.
Preparation Steps
These are the steps to connect the battery to an existing Wi-Fi/Ethernet Network. This is a summary of the steps; they are explained in detail below:
1. Make sure the battery is powered on. 2.1 Ensure Wi-Fi signal is available where the battery is standing. 2.2 Connect the battery antenna to the battery 2.3 Access the Battery Wi-Fi access point. 2.4 Connect to the Wi-Fi network. 3. If the Wi-Fi connection is unavailable or unsuccessful, connect the battery to the network via ethernet. 4. Once everything is connected go to the portal.

1. Power On the Battery
Press the ON button and ensure the battery is powered on before continuing to the next step.
2.1 Ensure Wi-Fi Signal
Before connecting the antenna, ensure that Wi-Fi coverage is available in the vicinity of the room where the battery is installed. If there is no signal near the battery, consider using a Wi-Fi range extender or booster, or alternatively, running an Ethernet cable directly to the system. For further details, refer to step 3.
Once a Wi-Fi signal is established move onto the next step.
2.2 Connecting the Antenna
A strong signal strength will ensure a reliable connection and optimal performance for the system.
1. Connect the antenna to the battery connector. a. Make the connection finger tight and secure. b. Do not use a spanner or tool to tighten the antenna as it could cause irreparable damage
Once the antenna is securely fixed to the battery, proceed to the next step.
2.3 Access the Battery’s Wi-Fi Access Point (AP)
The access point (AP) of the battery will be called FW_ followed by the last 6 digits of the battery serial number. For example: FW_123456
Once the battery is powered on, the access point (AP) will be available for connection via a smartphone or laptop. Navigate to the device’s wireless management settings and search for the battery’s Wi-Fi network name. Connect directly to this Wi-Fi network.
The password is: Freedom Won. Then proceed to the next step.
2.4 Connect the system to an Existing Wi-Fi Network
1. Once connected to the batteries Access Point, navigate to the smartphone or laptops web browser.
2. In the search bar type in the following http://10.232.10.232 and press enter. A text box will appear and request you to sign in.
3. Enter the following username and password into the appropriate boxes and press sign in. Note: This is case sensitive.

4. Once signed in, the system will load and display the device status screen, which shows the current connection status. To set up the Wi-Fi, navigate to the network settings in the left-hand menu.

5. This menu will now display the “Network Settings” heading. Begin by clicking the search button next to the AP’s SSID. This will initiate a search for available Wi-Fi networks and open a new window to display them.

6. The menu that opens will display the available Wi-Fi networks. Use the checkbox on the left to select the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect to. Press “Apply” to select that network.

7. Once you press “Apply,” the Wi-Fi list menu will close, and you will be returned to the STA Interface Settings or “Wi-Fi Settings” page. Your selected Wi-Fi network will now appear in the AP’s SSID box.
Next add the Wi-Fi password for this network to the “Password” text box and click “Apply”.

Press the “Restart” button. The Wi-Fi module in the battery will reboot and connect to the Wi-Fi network again set in the above steps.
9. Once the device has rebooted, you can check the connection status through the status page to ensure everything is properly connected. The device status screen will display the Wi-Fi connection status as well as the connection status to the cloud.

3. Connecting via ethernet
If a Wi-Fi connection is unsuccessful or not feasible, the battery can be connected to the network via Ethernet. Simply plug an Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the side of the battery and connect the other end to your network.
4. Once Everything is Connected, Access the Portal
Once the battery has been successfully connected to the network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, the Freedom Won portal can be accessed through the following link: https://portal.fw-cloud.net. Please refer to the portal manual for instructions on how to use the Freedom Won portal.

4. Identifying a Freedom Won LiTE 2
Freedom Won LiTE 2 units have different elements from the LiTE range units.
The model number on the front of the unit will incorporate a single forward slash (/) for LiTE (1) range units or a double forward slash (//) for LiTE 2 range units.
LiTE 2 units will also include a Wi-Fi connectivity symbol on the side of the unit, normally located near the Wi-Fi/Ethernet ports.
