Initial Setup Steps
Follow these steps for the initial setup of your Samsung Smart TV.
Step 1: Unpacking and Placement
Carefully remove the TV from its packaging. It is recommended that two people lift the TV to avoid damage or injury. Place the TV on a stable, flat surface, such as a table, before proceeding with stand installation or wall mounting.
Step 2: Connecting Cables
Connect the necessary cables to the TV's back panel. This includes the power cable, antenna cable (if using over-the-air broadcasts), and any HDMI cables for external devices like Blu-ray players or gaming consoles. Ensure all connections are secure.
Step 3: Stand Installation
Your TV may come with either a single central stand or two separate feet. Choose the appropriate installation method below.
Option 2-1: Single Central Stand
- Place the TV face down on a soft, clean surface to protect the screen.
- Align the stand neck with the designated slot on the back of the TV.
- Secure the stand neck to the TV using the provided screws.
- Attach the stand base to the bottom of the stand neck.
- Secure the stand base with the remaining screws.
Option 2-2: Two Separate Feet Stands
- Place the TV face down on a soft, clean surface to protect the screen.
- Insert each stand foot into its corresponding slot on the bottom edge of the TV. Ensure the feet are fully seated.
- Secure each stand foot with the provided screws. The screw length should be approximately 0.98 inches (25 mm or 2.5 cm).
- Verify that both feet are securely attached and the TV is stable.
Step 4: Final Placement
Once the stand is securely attached (or if wall-mounting), carefully lift the TV and place it in its final desired location. When moving the TV, always hold it by the frame, not by the screen. Avoid applying pressure to the screen, as this can cause damage. Ensure the TV is placed on a stable surface or securely mounted to the wall.
