Qualified Personnel
Personnel responsible for installation, operation, and maintenance must hold relevant qualifications (training or tuition). They must be aware of this manual and have access to it at all times. Any electrical connection must be carried out by a fully qualified electrician.
General Safety Instructions
National and internal workplace safety regulations must be complied with. Ensure ambient conditions do not exceed stated protection ratings (refer to Section 9.2 Technical Specifications). Use the DPG only if it is in perfect condition; damaged or faulty devices must be checked and replaced if necessary. Use only suitable tools for fitting, connecting, and removing the DPG. Do not remove or obliterate type plates or markings, as this voids the warranty.
Special Safety Instructions
Specific warnings relevant to individual operating procedures are found at the beginning of relevant sections.
Device Overview
The DPGs are digital pressure manometers/gauges with actual value and MIN/MAX displays, housed in a rugged TPE+ABS casing. They feature a digital LCD display, control panel, and replaceable batteries. The gauges offer accuracies of ±0.2% relative to the full-scale reading (FS) and are used for measuring pressure in permanent installations or mobile applications, serving as a pressure reference for checking, adjusting, and calibrating other equipment.

- Packaging or transport protection
IMPORTANT! Use the type plate to verify the delivered unit matches your order. Do not touch the measuring diaphragm. For devices with electrical components, ensure correct batteries (2x AA) are installed.
Intended Use
The DPG digital gauge is intended solely for inspecting, adjusting, and calibrating pressure measuring equipment. Do not use it outside its specifications or disregard operating instructions.
Important Warnings
⚠️ WARNING! Not a safety component!
The DPG pressure gauge is not a safety component as defined by directive 2006/42/EC (Machine Directive). Never use it as a safety component.
⚠️ DANGER! Risk of injury or material damage in the case of excessive pressure!!
Exceeding maximum overload values can lead to material failure and serious harm. Ensure overload values are never exceeded.
The operational safety is guaranteed only when used within specified limits and for its intended purpose. Do not exceed permissible full-scale reading or temperature range. Verify suitability for your application before ordering and installation.
Connection and Battery Replacement
Connection
The DPG has a G1/4" (BSPP) male thread and is supplied with batteries. It is ready for operation after switching on.
⚠️ WARNING! Material damage and risk of injury!
Comply with nominal pressure specifications of the measurement point and adapter. The connection (AF 27) is approved up to 1,000 bar. Observe specified safety factors. Improper installation can lead to the gauge tearing off.
Follow these instructions when using the DPG:
- Only authorised personnel may operate the device.
- Ensure the deployment location is bright and accessible.
- Take precautions to protect the device from damage.
- Ensure adequate weather protection (refer to EN 60529 in Section 9.2).
Connection Steps:
- Prepare the measurement setup for the G1/4" pressure connection point. Use only adapters with corresponding nominal pressure specifications. Do not install when the device is powered on.
- Ensure the gasket is correctly seated in the pressure connection point.
- Carefully turn the reference by hand into the measurement setup thread.
- Tighten the pressure connection point with an open-end wrench (AF 27). Recommended assembly torque: 40Nm. Do not over-tighten.
- Carefully rotate the gauge body by hand within 330° rotation limits to a suitable position. Rotate the dial only after installation.
IMPORTANT! Check for free turning. Ensure no attachments interfere with free turning during direct assembly.
Battery Replacement
CAUTION! Observe the battery type and polarity!
Incorrect battery type or insertion can cause damage. Use only new AA batteries of the same brand and ensure correct polarity.
Battery Replacement Steps:
- Switch off the device.
- Removal from the pressure connection point is recommended to minimise damage risk. Isolate the gauge from the pressure line and remove it (refer to Section 8.1-8.2 for disconnection).
- Open the housing by loosening the large retainer screw on the rear cover. Set the rear cover aside.
- Remove depleted batteries. No domestic waste! Batteries must be disposed of safely and in accordance with local regulations.
- Insert new batteries, paying attention to polarity.
- Carefully reattach the rear cover with the retaining screw.
- If removed from the hydraulic line, reattach following Section 4.1 Connection guidelines.
- After powering on, a zero reset may be required.
