Device Layout
The Marshall Stanmore III features several controls and inputs for operation:
Top Panel Layout:
- 1. 3.5 MM INPUT: Connect an analogue audio device with a 3.5 mm stereo jack.
- 2. SOURCE SELECTION: Press the source button to cycle through Bluetooth, AUX, and RCA audio sources. An indicator light shows the selected source. This can also be controlled via the Marshall Bluetooth app.
- 3. AUDIO CONTROLS: Three controls for adjusting audio: Volume, Bass, and Treble.
- 4. MEDIA CONTROL (Bluetooth Audio): Control audio playback directly from the top panel when connected via Bluetooth. Functions include play/pause, skip forward, skip back, rewind, and fast forward. Playback can also be managed through the Marshall Bluetooth app.
- 5. POWER SWITCH: Use this switch to turn the speaker on or off.
Rear Panel Layout:
- 6. RCA INPUT (LEFT AND RIGHT): Connect an RCA audio device, such as an RIAA turntable.
- 7. POWER INPUT: Connect the included mains lead to the wall socket.
Instructions
Getting Started
- Connect the mains lead to the speaker's mains input, then plug the power jack into the wall socket.
- Use the power switch to turn the speaker on.
- Download the Marshall Bluetooth app and follow the in-app instructions to set up your speaker.
Important: Ensure the mains lead, plug, and speaker are compatible with your mains supply and wall socket.
Caution: Always unplug the mains lead from the wall socket before disconnecting it from the speaker.
Bluetooth Pairing
- Use the source button to select Bluetooth.
- Press and hold the source button until the Bluetooth LED pulses red.
- Select "STANMORE III" from your audio device's Bluetooth list.
Stanmore III can connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. If one device is playing, a second connected device cannot play until the first device is paused.
Connecting an AUX Device
- Connect a 3.5 mm stereo jack to the AUX input on the top of the speaker.
- Connect the other end of the lead to the audio output on your audio source.
- Use the source button to select AUX.
Note: Audio leads are not included.
Connecting an RCA Device
- Connect a lead with RCA jacks to the RCA input on the back of the speaker.
- Connect the other end of the lead to the output on your audio source.
- Use the source button to select RCA.
Note: The turntable must be equipped with an RIAA amplifier or connected via a separate preamplifier. Audio lead and RIAA amplifier are not included.
Network Standby Mode
Stanmore III enters network standby mode after 10 minutes of inactivity to save energy. Any connected Bluetooth device will be disconnected. To wake the speaker, interact with any control or button on the top panel, reconnect a Bluetooth device, or play audio via the physical inputs.
Performing a Factory Reset
A factory reset returns the speaker to its original settings, excluding firmware updates. This action deletes all user settings, and the speaker will need to be set up again.
- Press and hold the media control for more than 10 seconds to reset the speaker.
- Remove "STANMORE III" from your audio device's Bluetooth list before pairing again.

Download the Marshall Bluetooth app to access full features and keep your speaker updated with the latest software. Available on Google Play and the App Store.
Troubleshooting

There is a strong electric field surrounding the speaker. Items such as microwave ovens, wireless network adapters, fluorescent lights and gas cookers use the same frequency range as the Bluetooth device. This may lead to electrical disturbances. | Move the speaker to another spot or turn off or move the interfering electronic device. | |
Erratic behaviour | The speaker is not using the latest firmware version. | Download the Marshall Bluetooth app and connect to the speaker. Follow the in-app instructions to ensure that the speaker has the latest firmware version. |
There is a software error. | Perform a factory reset by pressing the media control for more than 10 seconds. The speaker needs to be set up again; see the GETTING STARTED instructions. |

- Do not drop the product.
- Do not cover the product to prevent overheating.
- Listening too close to the speaker may damage hearing.
- Do not listen for extended periods at high sound pressure levels.
- Do not insert body parts or objects into the bass port.
- Do not install in a way that impedes access to the power source.
- The mains plug is the disconnect device; it must remain accessible.
This equipment is Class II or double-insulated and does not require a safety connection to electrical earth.
Installation & Connection:
- Connect only to the correct mains voltage as shown on the equipment.
- Use only specified power cables.
- Do not install in confined spaces; ensure good ventilation.
- Install on a stable, level surface.
- No naked flame sources should be placed on or near the apparatus.
