Introduction

The TFA Dostmann TFA.me ID-08 Wi-Fi Weather Station provides professional weather forecasts via the wetter.com online weather service for a five-day period. This station connects via Wi-Fi, offering detailed weather representations with 40 different weather symbol variations. It displays local forecasts including daily maximum and minimum temperatures, rain probability, and predicted rainfall amounts. Additionally, it shows sunshine hours, UV index, wind speed, and wind direction. The station also features a warning function for distinctive or potentially dangerous weather conditions, such as storms, heavy rain, extreme heat, high UV index, or black ice. It monitors indoor temperature and humidity and can wirelessly transmit and display outdoor temperature and humidity from up to five external transmitters. The TFA.me system acts as a gateway, allowing access to up to 50 additional stations and various transmitter types online via the free TFA.me portal.

Installation

1. Alimentation de la station de base

1. Connect the provided power adapter to the base station and plug it into a power outlet.
2. (Optional) Insert 5 x 1.5 V AA batteries into the battery compartment on the back of the base station for backup power.

2. Setting up the Thermo-Hygro Transmitter

1. Insert 2 x 1.5 V AA batteries into the thermo-hygro transmitter.
2. Place the transmitter in a suitable outdoor location, protected from direct sunlight and rain, to ensure accurate readings. The maximum range is 100 meters.
3. The base station will automatically attempt to connect to the transmitter.

3. Wi-Fi Connection and TFA.me Portal Setup

1. Follow the on-screen instructions on the base station to connect it to your local Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz, 802.11 b/g/n).
2. Once connected, the station will synchronize time and access professional weather forecasts from wetter.com.
3. Register an account on the free Portail en ligne TFA.me.
4. Add your weather station to your TFA.me account using the provided instructions. This allows you to view measured values worldwide on PC, tablet, or smartphone.
