3.1 Setting Watering Patterns

The timer offers 15 pre-set watering patterns. To select a pattern:

  1. Rotate the large central knob to align the desired watering frequency and duration with the indicator mark.
  2. Available watering frequencies include: 8 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, and 48 hours.
  3. Available watering durations range from 1 minute to 45 minutes.

For example, to water for 10 minutes every 24 hours, rotate the knob until '24h' and '10 min' are aligned with the indicator.

3.2 Delaying the Start Time

You can delay the start of the selected watering pattern by 1 to 23 hours.

  1. After setting your desired watering pattern with the knob, press the '+1h' button.
  2. Each press of the '+1h' button will delay the start time by one hour.
  3. The indicator light (if present) or a visual cue on the dial may confirm the delay setting.

3.3 Manual Watering

For immediate, non-scheduled watering:

  1. Rotate the knob to the 'ON' or manual sprinkling position (if available, otherwise select a short duration).
  2. The timer is equipped with an auto shut-off feature that will stop manual watering after approximately 15 minutes to prevent water waste.

3.4 Turning Off the Timer

To stop all automatic watering, rotate the knob to the 'OFF' position.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

When the battery level is low, the timer will cease operation. Replace the two 1.5V AA alkaline batteries as described in Section 2.2. It is recommended to replace batteries at the beginning of each watering season or every 6-12 months, depending on usage.

4.2 Cleaning

Clean the exterior of the watering timer with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.

4.3 Winter Storage

Before the first frost, disconnect the watering timer from the faucet. Drain any remaining water from the unit and store it in a dry, frost-free location. Remove batteries before long-term storage.

5. Troubleshooting

  • No water flow:
    • Ensure the faucet is fully open.
    • Check if the timer is set to 'OFF' or if the batteries are low/depleted.
    • Verify that the selected watering duration is not 0 minutes.
  • Timer not activating:
    • Check battery status and replace if necessary.
    • Ensure a watering pattern (frequency and duration) is correctly selected.
    • Confirm that any delay setting has expired.
  • Water leakage from connections:
    • Ensure the timer is securely tightened to the faucet.
    • Check the rubber washer inside the timer's connection for proper seating and damage.
    • Apply PTFE (Teflon) tape to the faucet threads for a better seal.
