3. Configuration et installation

The Carpuride W603B offers two primary installation methods, depending on your motorcycle's existing setup.

Two installation methods for the Carpuride W603B. Method 1 uses an original BMW navigation base. Method 2 uses a mobile phone holder together with the Carpuride bracket.

Method 1: Using Original BMW Navigation Base (for BMW R1200GS, R1250GS, S1000XR)

  1. Ensure you have an original BMW navigation base.
  2. Install the BMW bracket to the motorcycle Carplay screen.
  3. Follow step 1 and install it on the original BMW navigation base together.

Method 2: Using a Mobile Phone Holder

  1. Our brackets are suitable for most motorcycle phone bracket installations.
  2. Install the BMW bracket to the motorcycle Carplay screen.
  3. Follow step 1 and install it on the mobile phone holder together.
  4. Complete the installation and begin use.

Connexion électrique :

The W603B supports power supply by connecting directly to the motorcycle battery via a power take-off wire.

  • The Type-C port on the W603B is for manufacturer software debugging only and does not support powering the screen.

4. Connectivity and Operation

The W603B allows for wireless connection to your smartphone for a full Carplay or Android Auto experience.

Steps to connect Apple CarPlay: Open CarPlay on the device, iPhone searches for 'carpuride-xxxx' Bluetooth, click 'Allow' and 'Use Carplay', connection successful.

Apple CarPlay Requirements:

  • Un iPhone fonctionnant sous iOS 6 ou une version ultérieure.
  • Requires the CarPlay system and the iPhone's voice system to be turned on.
  • Ensure Siri is enabled.
Steps to connect Android Auto: Open A-Auto on the device, find connected devices, add new device 'carpuride-xxxx', click 'Pair', connection successful.

Configuration requise pour Android Auto :

  • Un téléphone compatible avec le Wi-Fi 5 GHz.

  • A phone that supports the Android Auto app and has the latest version installed.

BT Trans (Bluetooth Audio Transmission):

Enhance your riding experience by connecting your phone and a Bluetooth headset/helmet.

  2. Connect your phone wirelessly to the W603B via Bluetooth.
  3. Enter CarPlay or Android Auto, and audio/calls will play through your BT headsets or helmets.

Wired Controller Functionality:

The included wired controller provides convenient access to essential functions without touching the screen.

  • Bouton Cycle : Short press to answer incoming calls. Press and hold for more than 5 seconds to power on/off the device.
  • Bouton de téléphone : Appuyez brièvement pour raccrocher.
  • Bouton d'accueil: Short press to toggle between the home page and current interface when using CarPlay. Long press for more than 5 seconds to lock the screen (touch function disabled). Long press the home button for 5 seconds to unlock.

Note: When using an Android phone with the W603B, the cycle button does not support answering incoming calls.

Utilize voice assistants for hands-free control and enjoy your favorite media and navigation apps.
