Configuration et installation

Proper setup is crucial for optimal performance of your RAINPOINT Sprinkler Timer.

1. Battery Installation and Valve Activation

The timer requires 4 AA batteries (not included). Ensure batteries are installed correctly to activate the internal valves for the first time or after a long period of disuse.

  • Prepare 4 AA batteries.
  • Remove the bottom battery box.
  • Install all batteries correctly, observing polarity.
  • Press and hold the "OK/Manual" button while inserting the battery box back into the timer.
  • Release the "OK/Manual" button. The timer will perform a self-test, activating each of its 4 valves one by one for approximately 5 seconds each.
  • After the self-test, remove the battery box and reinsert it to start normal operation. If not removed, the timer will continue to cycle through the 4 zones.

2. Installation physique

Attach the timer securely to your outdoor faucet.

  • Screw the supporting part onto the back of the water timer.
  • Use the provided screw to install the bracket accessory onto the supporting part through the hole.
  • Wrap the faucet threads with raw tape (Teflon tape) before installing the timer to help prevent leaks.
  • Install the timer onto the faucet and mark a proper position for the brace.
  • Drill a hole for screwing and attach the brace with the screw to secure the timer.
  • Connect your hoses to the four individually controlled outlets.

After installation, check for leaks and verify outlet water pressure by going into manual watering mode (see Operating section).

The RAINPOINT Sprinkler Timer offers automatic and manual watering modes, along with a rain delay function.

1. Setting Automatic Watering Program

  1. Définir l'heure locale : Rotate the dial to "SET CLOCK". Press and hold "OK/Manual" for 3 seconds to switch between 12H and 24H format. Use "+" and "-" buttons to adjust hour and minute, then press "OK/Manual" to confirm.

2. Arrosage manuel

Pour arroser manuellement sans perturber votre programme d'arrosage :

  • Keep the dial at "ON".
  • Press and hold the "OK/Manual" button for 3 seconds to enter the manual watering interface.
  • Use the "ZONE" button to select the desired zone(s) (1, 2, 3, 4, or ALL). Press "OK/Manual" to confirm the selection.
  • Adjust the manual watering duration using the "+" and "-" buttons (from 0 minutes to 6 hours). Press "OK/Manual" to confirm.
  • To cancel manual watering midway, long press "OK/Manual" or rotate the dial to "OFF".

3. Rain Delay Program

  • Keep the dial at "ON".
  • Long press the "+/DELAY" button for 3 seconds to enter the Rain Delay interface.
  • Use the "+" button to adjust the delay duration (24H, 48H, or 72H).
  • Press "OK/Manual" to confirm the delay. The timer will pause watering for the selected duration.
  • To exit Rain Delay mode early, long press the "+/DELAY" button again or rotate the dial to "OFF".

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and proper functioning of your sprinkler timer.

  • Remplacement de la batterie : The timer features a low power notification. When the battery icon appears, it's time to change all 4 AA batteries. Low battery automatically shuts off valves to prevent continuous watering.
  • Nettoyage: Periodically check and clean the filter at the inlet to prevent debris from affecting water flow.
  • Hivérisation: Before freezing temperatures, disconnect the timer from the faucet and store it indoors in a dry, frost-free location. Remove batteries for long-term storage.
