Configuration et assemblage

Your Scheppach MS173-51 lawn mower requires some assembly before its first use. Follow these steps carefully.

1. Déballage

• Retirez soigneusement tous les composants de l'emballage.
• Check for any damage or missing parts. Contact your dealer if any issues are found.

2. Assemblage du guidon

• Attach the lower handlebar to the mower deck using the provided bolts and knobs.
• Secure the upper handlebar to the lower section, ensuring all cables are routed correctly and not pinched.

• Assemble the grass catcher according to the instructions, if it is not pre-assembled.
• Hook the grass catcher onto the rear discharge chute of the mower.

4. Ajout de carburant et d'huile

• Fill the engine with the recommended type and amount of engine oil (refer to the engine manual for specifics). Do not overfill.
• Fill the fuel tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline. Do not use E85 or other ethanol blends not approved for small engines.
• Ensure fuel and oil caps are securely tightened.

Mode d'emploi

Before starting, ensure all safety checks are complete and the area is clear.

1. Réglage de la hauteur de coupe

• The cutting height can be adjusted using the lever located on the wheels. There are 7 positions available, ranging from 25 mm to 75 mm.

2. Démarrage du moteur

• Assurez-vous que le fil de la bougie d’allumage est correctement connecté.
• Press the primer bulb (if equipped) a few times until fuel is visible.
• Déplacez le levier d'accélérateur en position « DÉMARRAGE » ou « CHOKE ».
• Pull the starter cord firmly until the engine starts. Once started, move the throttle to the "RUN" position.

3. Tonte

• Push the mower forward at a steady pace. The MS173-51 is a walk-behind rotary mower.
• Overlap each pass slightly to ensure complete coverage.

Entretien

1. Nettoyage général

• After each use, clean the underside of the mower deck to remove grass clippings and debris. A hose connection might be available for easy cleaning.

2. Inspection et affûtage des lames

• Regularly inspect the cutting blade for sharpness and damage. A dull blade can tear grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn.
• Si nécessaire, faites affûter ou remplacer la lame par un technicien qualifié.
• Always disconnect the spark plug wire before inspecting or working on the blade.

3. Vidange d'huile

• Changez l'huile moteur après les 5 premières heures de fonctionnement, puis toutes les 25 à 50 heures ou une fois par an, selon la première échéance.
• Refer to the engine manual for the correct procedure and oil type.

4. Bougie d'allumage

• Inspectez et nettoyez la bougie d'allumage une fois par an ou toutes les 50 heures. Remplacez-la si elle est usée ou encrassée.

5. Filtre à air

• Nettoyez ou remplacez régulièrement le filtre à air, surtout en cas d'utilisation dans des environnements poussiéreux.

6. Stockage

• Before long-term storage, drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer.
• Clean the mower thoroughly and store it in a dry, protected area.
