3. Installation

3.1 Déballage et placement

Carefully remove the CDR-SX7 from its packaging. Place the unit on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive dust or vibration. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

3.2 Connexion des câbles audio

1. Connexion analogique : Connect the analog audio output (RCA L/R) of your source device (e.g., amplifier, tape deck) to the ANALOG INPUT jacks on the rear of the CDR-SX7. Connect the ANALOG OUTPUT jacks of the CDR-SX7 to an available input on your amplificateur ou récepteur.
2. Connexion numérique : For digital recording, connect the optical digital output of your source device to one of the DIGITAL INPUT (OPTICAL) jacks on the CDR-SX7.

4.1 Lecture de base

4.2 Recording Audio CDs

The CDR-SX7 supports recording from both analog and digital sources onto CD-R and CD-RW discs.

4.2.1 Preparing a Blank Disc

• Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc into the disc tray.
• The unit will display "BLANK DISC" or "ERASE DISC" (for CD-RW).
• If using a CD-RW that has been previously recorded, you may need to erase it first using the EFFACER function (refer to section 4.3.3).

4.2.2 Recording from a Digital Source (Signal Sync Recording)

1. Select the digital input source using the SÉLECTEUR D'ENTRÉE bouton.
2. Lancez la lecture sur votre appareil source numérique.
3. Appuyez sur le REC button on the CDR-SX7. The unit will automatically start recording when it detects an audio signal.

4.2.3 Recording from an Analog Source

1. Select the analog input source using the SÉLECTEUR D'ENTRÉE bouton.

3. Lancez la lecture sur votre appareil source analogique.
4. Appuyez sur le REC button on the CDR-SX7 to begin recording.

4.3 Editing and Finalizing

4.3.1 Finalisation d'un disque

After recording, a CD-R disc must be finalized to be playable on standard CD players. CD-RW discs do not require finalizing for playback on the CDR-SX7 but may need it for other players.

1. Avec le disque enregistré dans le plateau, appuyez sur FINALISER bouton.
2. Confirm the action when prompted. The unit will finalize the disc at 2x speed.
3. The display will show "FINALIZING" and then "COMPLETE" when finished.

4.3.2 CD Text Input

You can input disc, artist, and track names using the CD Text function.

1. During recording or after recording but before finalizing, press the TEXTE DU CD bouton.
2. Use the AMCS dial and other control buttons to input characters for the desired information.
3. Presse ENTRER pour confirmer.

4.3.3 Erasing a CD-RW Disc

To reuse a CD-RW disc, you must erase its contents.

1. Insert the CD-RW disc into the tray.
2. Appuyez sur le EFFACER bouton.
3. Confirm the erase operation when prompted. The disc will be erased.
