1. Introduction

The AROMA Professional Plus ARC-5000SB is a versatile multi-cooker designed to simplify your home cooking experience. This appliance is capable of preparing a variety of meals, including restaurant-quality rice, healthy steamed dishes, and delicious one-pot meals. Its intuitive digital controls and multiple functions make it an essential tool for any kitchen.

Key functions include specialized settings for White and Brown Rice, a Steam function for meats and vegetables, a Slow Cook function, and the unique Sauté-Then-Simmer STS function. The programmable 15-hour delay timer adds convenience for busy schedules, ensuring your meals are ready when you need them.

The cooker features a generous 20-cup cooked capacity, a durable stainless steel exterior, and a nonstick inner pot for easy cleanup. All accessories are BPA-free.

3. Installation

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed. Wash the non-stick inner pot, steam tray, rice measuring cup, and rice spatula thoroughly with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the cooker with a damp cloth. Place the cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface away from walls and cabinets to allow for proper airflow.

4. Mode d'emploi

The ARC-5000SB offers a variety of cooking functions accessible via its digital control panel.

4.1. Rice Cooking (White, Brown, Sushi, Quick Rice, Quinoa)

Use the included measuring cup for precise rice-to-water ratios. For best results, rinse rice before cooking until water runs clear. Refer to the water lines inside the inner pot for guidance. After adding rice and water, select the appropriate rice type button (White Rice, Brown Rice, Sushi Rice, Quick Rice, Quinoa). The cooker will automatically adjust cooking time and switch to Keep-Warm when done.

4.2. Cuisson à la vapeur

Add water to the inner pot (refer to manual for specific amounts). Place the steam tray with your desired ingredients (vegetables, fish, etc.) into the inner pot. Close the lid and select the 'Steam Cook' button. You can adjust the steaming time using the time adjustment buttons (5, 10, 15 minutes). The cooker will steam for the selected duration.

4.3. Cuisson lente

Transform your rice cooker into a 4-quart slow cooker. Add ingredients to the inner pot. Select the 'Slow Cook' button. You can choose between 'Low' and 'High' temperature settings. The cooker will maintain the selected temperature for extended periods, ideal for stews and braises.

4.4. Sauté-Then-Simmer STS®

This patent-pending function allows you to sauté or brown ingredients directly in the pot before automatically switching to a simmer once liquid is added. This is perfect for dishes like Spanish rice, chili, risotto, and more. Select 'Sauté-Then-Simmer' and follow your recipe's instructions for browning, then add liquid to initiate simmering.

4.5. Other Functions (Oatmeal, Soup, Delay Timer, Keep Warm)

• Gruau: Prepare perfect oatmeal with a dedicated setting.
• Soupe: Cook delicious soups and broths.
• Temporisateur: Program the cooker to start cooking up to 15 hours in advance.
• Rester au chaud : Automatically activates after most cooking cycles to keep food at an ideal serving temperature.

5. Entretien et nettoyage

• Couvercle: The lid is not removable. To clean, wipe the underside of the lid and the heating plate with a damp cloth after each use. Ensure no food particles are left behind.

6. Dépannage

• Rice is too dry or hard: Ensure the correct rice-to-water ratio was used. Some rice types may require slightly more water. Make sure the lid is properly sealed during cooking.
