3. Installation

3.2 Reel Mounting

To mount the reel onto your fishing rod:

4.1 Drag Adjustment

The KastKing Assassin Carbon features a 16.5 lb (7.5 kg) carbon fiber drag system. Adjust the drag by turning the star-shaped drag knob located next to the handle. Turn clockwise to increase drag tension and counter-clockwise to decrease it. Set the drag to approximately 25-30% of your line's breaking strength.

4.2 Dual Brake System (Centrifugal & Magnetic)

Your reel is equipped with a dynamic 6-pin centrifugal brake and a magnetic brake for precise casting control.

• Centrifugal Brake: Located under the side plate. Open the side plate and adjust the small pins. Engaging more pins increases braking force, useful for heavier lures or windy conditions.
• Magnetic Brake: Adjusted via an external dial on the side of the reel. Higher numbers increase magnetic braking, reducing spool speed and preventing backlashes, especially for lighter lures or when casting into the wind.

Experiment with both brake systems to find the optimal settings for your lure weight and casting conditions.

4.3 Moulage
