Installation
1. Installation des piles
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale base.
- Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment à piles.
- Insérez 4 piles AA en respectant la polarité (+/-).

2. Assembling the Weighing Tray (for infant weighing)
The weighing tray is designed to securely attach to the scale base for infant measurements.
- Align the weighing tray with the designated slots on the scale base.
- Gently press down until the tray clicks into place, indicating it is securely locked.
- Ensure the tray is stable and does not wobble before use.

Mode d'emploi
1. Basic Weighing (Infant)
- Ensure the weighing tray is securely attached.
- Placez la balance sur une surface plane et stable.
- Appuyez sur le MARCHE/ARRÊT button to turn on the scale. The display will show "0.000".
- Gently place the infant in the center of the weighing tray.
- Wait for the weight reading to stabilize. The display will show the infant's weight.
- Remove the infant from the scale.
- Appuyez sur le MARCHE/ARRÊT button again to turn off the scale, or it will automatically switch off after a period of inactivity.

2. TARE Function (Weighing with a cloth/diaper)
The TARE function allows you to subtract the weight of an item (e.g., a blanket or diaper) placed on the scale before weighing the infant, ensuring only the infant's weight is measured.
- Allumez la balance.
- Place the item (e.g., blanket) on the weighing tray. The display will show its weight.
- Appuyez sur le FORT bouton. L'affichage se réinitialisera à « 0.000 ».
- Gently place the infant on the item. The display will now show only the infant's weight.
3. Breast-Milk-Intake-Function (BMIF)
The BMIF function helps determine the amount of breast milk consumed by an infant during feeding.
- Weigh the infant avant feeding and note the weight.
- Appuyez sur le BMIF button. The display will show "0.000" and store the pre-feeding weight.
- Feed the infant.
- Place the infant back on the scale après feeding. The display will show the difference in weight, indicating the amount of milk consumed.
4. Switching Units (lbs/kg)
The scale can display weight in pounds (lbs) or kilograms (kg).

5. Auto-HOLD Function
The Auto-HOLD function stabilizes the weight reading even if the subject moves slightly, providing a more accurate measurement.

6. Converting to Flat Scale for Children
The seca 354 can be easily converted into a floor scale for older children.

- Carefully unlock and remove the weighing tray from the scale base.
- Place the scale base directly on a firm, flat floor surface.

- Instruct the child to stand still in the center of the scale base.

Entretien et soins

- Regularly check the battery compartment for corrosion. Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
