Configuration et installation

Before connecting the inverter, ensure your vehicle is turned off. Place the inverter in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Do not block the cooling fan vents.

Connecting to a 12V Cigarette Lighter Socket:

  1. Insert the cigarette lighter plug firmly into your vehicle's 12V accessory socket.
  2. Assurez-vous que la connexion est sécurisée.
  3. Note: Depending on your vehicle, you may need to turn the vehicle's ignition switch to the "ON" position to power the cigarette lighter socket.

Connecting Directly to a 12V Battery (using alligator clips, if included):

  1. Connectez la pince crocodile rouge à la borne positive (+) de la batterie 12V.
  2. Connectez la pince crocodile noire à la borne négative (-) de la batterie 12V.
  3. Ensure connections are tight and secure to prevent arcing.
  4. This method is recommended for higher power draw applications to ensure stable power delivery.

Mode d'emploi

  1. After connecting the inverter to a 12V power source, press the illuminated On/Off switch to turn the inverter on. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Plug your 110V AC device(s) into the inverter's AC outlets.
  3. Turn on your device(s).
  4. To turn off the inverter, press the On/Off switch again. Disconnect devices when not in use.

Considérations importantes :

  • Assurez-vous que la quantité totale d'eautage of all connected devices does not exceed the inverter's continuous power output (300 watts). Exceeding this limit will trigger the overload shutdown.
  • The inverter has a built-in cooling fan. It is normal for the fan to operate during use, and it may produce some noise. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
  • For optimal performance and to prevent battery drain, it is recommended to operate the inverter with the vehicle's engine running, especially when powering higher wattagappareils électroniques.

  • Remplacement du fusible : If the inverter stops functioning, check the 30 Amp blade-type fuse. If blown, replace it with a fuse of the same rating. Always disconnect the inverter from the power source before replacing the fuse.
  • Stockage: Lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé, rangez l'onduleur dans un endroit frais et sec, à l'abri de la lumière directe du soleil et des températures extrêmes.

Dépannage

If you encounter issues with your Jensen JP30 Power Inverter, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Onduleur ne s'allume pas :
    • Check if the 12V power source (cigarette lighter socket or battery) is providing power.
    • Ensure the vehicle's ignition is in the "ON" position if using the cigarette lighter socket.
    • Verify that the inverter's On/Off switch is pressed.
    • Vérifiez les 30 Amp fuse in the inverter and replace if blown.
    • Assurez-vous que toutes les connexions sont sécurisées.
  • Inverter Shuts Down Automatically:
    • Arrêt en cas de surcharge : Le total des wattstage of connected devices exceeds 300 watts. Disconnect some devices or use lower-power alternatives.
    • Vol faibletage Arrêt : Le volume d'entréetage from the battery has dropped below 9.6 Volts DC. Start your vehicle's engine to recharge the battery or use the inverter with the engine running.
    • Surchauffe: Ensure the inverter is in a well-ventilated area and its cooling fan vents are not blocked. Allow the unit to cool down before restarting.
    • Court-circuit: Disconnect all devices and check for any short circuits in the wiring or devices.
  • Beeping/Buzzing Noise:
    • This is typically a low voltage alarm, indicating the input power is below 10.2 Volts DC. Start your vehicle's engine to prevent further battery drain and potential shutdown.
    • It can also indicate an impending overload. Reduce the load on the inverter.
