Thank you for purchasing the Fosi Audio P4 Preamplifier!
The P4 features three RCA inputs, one RCA output, and a pre-out, with bass and treble adjustments as well as gain control functions, and comes with a remote control. As a preamp, it effectively manages inputs and outputs, initial signal amplification, and tone adjustment in your audio system, making it an ideal choice for home audio setups.

Operation Guide
- Connect the P4 to your audio source using an RCA cable.
- Connect the P4 to the powered speakers with an RCA cable; for passive speakers, connect the P4 to an amplifier with an RCA cable, then use speaker cables to connect the amplifier to the passive speakers.
- Power up the P4 by pressing the power button on the front panel or using the remote control, select the desired input line with a single click, and set the volume to the lowest level.
- Start playing music. Gradually adjust the volume to a suitable level, and fine-tune the bass and treble to achieve the desired sound effect.
Important Notes:
- Ensure all connections are made before powering on the device.
- A short press of the power button turns the P4 on; to turn it off, press and hold for 3 seconds.

No sound after powering on and connecting the device?
- Check if all cables are properly connected.
- Verify that the correct input channel is selected.
- Ensure that both the audio source and the P4 volume levels are not set too low.
2. What is the function of the Bypass switch?
The full name for the Bypass switch is the TONE/BYPASS switch. Flipping the switch up activates Bypass mode, where the signal passes directly without going through the bass and treble control circuit, rendering the bass and treble knobs inoperative. Flipping the switch down deactivates Bypass mode, allowing the signal to go through the bass and treble control circuits so you can adjust the sound to your preference.
The volume is set to maximum on all devices, but the sound is still very low?
The P4 offers three gain settings corresponding to input levels of IV, 2V, and 4V. If the system sound is too loud, you may choose a lower gain setting (i.e., 3dB); if the system sound is too quiet, a higher gain setting (i.e., 9dB) might be necessary. Generally, a setting of 6dB is suitable for typical use.
