1.1 Explanation of Symbols
Warning Indications
⚠️Warning indications in the text are marked with a warning triangle. Additionally, there are signal words that indicate the type and severity of the consequences that may occur if the measures to avoid danger are not respected.
The following signal words are defined and can be found in this document:
- CAUTION: Material damage may result.
- PRECAUTION: Minor to serious bodily injury may result.
- WARNING: Serious personal injury up to life-threatening injury may result.
- DANGER: Serious personal injury up to life-threatening injury may result.
Important Information
ℹ️Important information that does not pose a danger to persons or property is marked with the adjacent symbol.
1.2 Safety Instructions
Installation
- Installation must be carried out by an authorized specialist.
- The installation of the boiler and/or electrical accessories must comply with standard IEC 60364-7-701.
- The boiler must be installed in a frost-free room.
- Make the hydraulic connection before the electrical connection and check its tightness.
- Before installation, disconnect the boiler from the electrical network.
Placement, Remodeling
- The boiler shall only be placed or modified by an authorized specialist company.
- Never block the safety valve outlet.
- During heating, water may drain through the safety valve outlet.
Maintenance
- Maintenance must be carried out by an authorized specialist.
- Before maintenance work, disconnect the boiler from the electrical network.
Product Handover to Administrator
- Upon handover, explain to the administrator the operating method and conditions for the heating system.
- Explain the operating method – especially safety-relevant operations.
- Draw their attention to the fact that modifications or repair work must only be carried out by an authorized specialist company.
- Draw their attention to the need for technical checks and maintenance to ensure safe and ecological operation.
- Hand over the installation and operating instructions to the administrator for safekeeping.
Safety of Electrical Appliances for Household Use and Similar Purposes
The following requirements apply in accordance with EN 60335-2-21 to prevent dangers arising from the use of electrical appliances:
- "The appliance may be used by children aged 3 years and above, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have received instructions on the safe use of the appliance and understand the resulting dangers. Children are forbidden to play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be carried out by unsupervised children."
- "Children between the ages of 3 and 8 are only allowed to operate the tap connected to the appliance."
- "If the mains connection cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department, or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid risks."
