Thank you for purchasing the Lindy USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim. This product has been designed to provide trouble free, reliable operation. It benefits from both a LINDY 2 year warranty and free lifetime technical support. To ensure correct use, please read this manual carefully and retain it for future reference.
The USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim allows access to USB 3.0 SuperSpeed peripherals over longer distances. It is available in five different lengths of 3m, 5m, 8m, 10m and 15m. With support for data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps it is perfect for transferring large data volumes quickly and reliably.
Up to 5 of these USB 3.0 Active Extensions Slim can be chained together. In addition, a maximum of 5 of the different cable lengths of these USB 3.0 Active Extensions Slim can be combined with each other. The only exception is the 15m version No. 43404: as it has 2 chipsets, a maximum of 3 other USB 3.0 Active Extensions Slim can be combined with it.

Installation & Operation
Connect the USB Type A male connector of the USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim to the USB Type A socket of your host computer. Then connect the USB device to the USB Type A socket of the USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim with the device´s existing USB cable. If required, a power supply can be connected via the USB Type A and DC cable.
Cascading is possible with up to 5 chipsets, i.e 5x 43400 or 5x 43403 can be chained together. A combination of different lengths is also possible. Please note that the 15m USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim (No. 43404) consists of 2 chipsets; therefore only 3 more USB 3.0 Active Extensions Slim No. 43400 43403 can be added here.

Please follow this sequence for cascading to ensure correct function:
First connect all the USB 3.0 Active Extension Cables Slim that you want to cascade together (max. number of chipsets: 5). Next, connect one power supply to each USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim. Finally, connect the first USB 3.0 Active Extension Cable of the series to the host computer and then the last one to the USB device.

Verbinden Sie den USB Typ A Stecker der USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim mit der USB Typ A Buchse Ihres Host Computers. Schließen Sie dann das USB-Gerät am USB-Typ-A-Anschluss der USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim mit dem vorhandenen USB-Kabel des Geräts an. Bei Bedarf kann ein Netzteil über das USB Typ A an DC Kabel angeschlossen werden.
Eine Kaskadierung ist mit bis zu 5 Chipsätzen möglich, d.h. es können z.B. 5x 43400 oder 5x 43403 aneinandergereiht werden. Auch eine Kombination verschiedener Längen ist möglich. Bitte beachten Sie, dass die 15m USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim (Nr. 43404) aus 2 Chipsätzen besteht; daher können hier nur 3 weitere USB 3.0 Active Extensions Slim Nr. 43400 - 43403 hinzugefügt werden.

Installation et Utilisation
Connectez le connecteur mâle USB Type A de l'USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim à la prise USB Type A de votre ordinateur hôte. Connectez ensuite le périphérique USB à la prise USB de type A de l'USB 3.0 Active Extension Slim à l'aide du câble USB existant du périphérique. Si nécessaire, une alimentation électrique peut être connectée via le câble USB de type A et le câble DC.

It is no longer allowable to simply throw away electrical and electronic equipment. Instead, these products must enter the recycling process. Each individual EU member state, as well as the UK, has implemented the WEEE regulations into national law in slightly different ways. Hersteller-Informationen gemäß § 18 Abs. 4 ElektroG (Deutschland)
Das Elektro- und Elektronikgerätegesetz (ElektroG) enthält eine Vielzahl von Anforderungen an den Umgang mit
Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten. Die wichtigsten sind hier zusammengestellt.
1.
Bedeutung des Symbols ,,durchgestrichene Mülltonne"
Das auf Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten regelmäßig abgebildete Symbol einer durchgestrichenen Mülltonne
weist darauf hin, dass das jeweilige Gerät am Ende seiner Lebensdauer getrennt vom unsortierten
Siedlungsabfall zu erfassen ist.
2.
Getrennte Erfassung von Altgeräten
Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte, die zu Abfall geworden sind, werden als Altgeräte bezeichnet. Besitzer von Altgeräten
haben diese einer vom unsortierten Siedlungsabfall getrennten Erfassung zuzuführen. Altgeräte gehören
insbesondere nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern in spezielle Sammel- und Rückgabesysteme.
3.
Batterien und Akkus sowie Lampen
Besitzer von Altgeräten haben Altbatterien und Altakkumulatoren, die nicht vom Altgerät umschlossen sind, sowie
Lampen, die zerstörungsfrei aus dem Altgerät entnommen werden können, im Regelfall vor der Abgabe an einer
Erfassungsstelle vom Altgerät zu trennen. Dies gilt nicht, soweit Altgeräte einer Vorbereitung zur Wiederverwendung
unter Beteiligung eines öffentlich-rechtlichen Entsorgungsträgers zugeführt werden.
4.
Möglichkeiten der Rückgabe von Altgeräten
Besitzer von Altgeräten aus privaten Haushalten können diese bei den Sammelstellen der öffentlich-rechtlichen
Entsorgungsträger oder bei den von Herstellern oder Vertreibern im Sinne des ElektroG eingerichteten
Rücknahmestellen unentgeltlich abgeben.
Rücknahmepflichtig sind Geschäfte mit einer Verkaufsfläche von mindestens 400 m² für Elektro- und
Elektronikgeräte sowie diejenigen Lebensmittelgeschäfte mit einer Gesamtverkaufsfläche von mindestens 800 m²,
die mehrmals pro Jahr oder dauerhaft Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte anbieten und auf dem Markt bereitstellen. Dies
gilt auch bei Vertrieb unter Verwendung von Fernkommunikationsmitteln, wenn die Lager- und Versandflächen für
Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte mindestens 400 m² betragen oder die gesamten Lager- und Versandflächen
mindestens 800 m² betragen. Vertreiber haben die Rücknahme grundsätzlich durch geeignete
Rückgabemöglichkeiten in zumutbarer Entfernung zum jeweiligen Endnutzer zu gewährleisten.
Die Möglichkeit der unentgeltlichen Rückgabe eines Altgerätes besteht bei rücknahmepflichtigen Vertreibern unter
anderem dann, wenn ein neues gleichartiges Gerät, das im Wesentlichen die gleichen Funktionen erfüllt, an einen
Endnutzer abgegeben wird. Wenn ein neues Gerät an einen privaten Haushalt ausgeliefert wird, kann das
gleichartige Altgerät auch dort zur unentgeltlichen Abholung übergeben werden; dies gilt bei einem Vertrieb unter
Verwendung von Fernkommunikationsmitteln für Geräte der Kategorien 1, 2 oder 4 gemäß § 2 Abs. 1 ElektroG,
nämlich ,,Wärmeüberträger", ,,Bildschirmgeräte" oder ,,Großgeräte" (letztere mit mindestens einer äußeren
Abmessung über 50 Zentimeter). Zu einer entsprechenden Rückgabe-Absicht werden Endnutzer beim Abschluss
eines Kaufvertrages befragt. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit der unentgeltlichen Rückgabe bei Sammelstellen
der Vertreiber unabhängig vom Kauf eines neuen Gerätes für solche Altgeräte, die in keiner äußeren Abmessung
größer als 25 Zentimeter sind, und zwar beschränkt auf drei Altgeräte pro Geräteart.
5.
Datenschutz-Hinweis
Altgeräte enthalten häufig sensible personenbezogene Daten. Dies gilt insbesondere für Geräte der Informations-
und Telekommunikationstechnik wie Computer und Smartphones. Bitte beachten Sie in Ihrem eigenen Interesse,
dass für die Löschung der Daten auf den zu entsorgenden Altgeräten jeder Endnutzer selbst verantwortlich ist.
