Preparation for Use
Follow these steps before the first use:
Ensure the iron is unplugged.
Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
Plug in the iron and set the temperature according to fabric type.
Wait for the iron to heat up (indicated by the light). Start ironing.
Operation
Ironing
Place the garment on an ironing board. Glide the iron over the fabric. Use the steam boost button for stubborn creases.
Steam Settings
Adjust steam output based on fabric type and ironing needs.
OptimalTEMP Technology
This iron features OptimalTEMP technology, meaning you can iron all fabrics from silk to linen, in any order, without adjusting the iron temperature or sorting clothes. The soleplate is safe for all fabrics, even if left unattended on the ironing board.
Descaling and Cleaning
Quick Calc Release
Regular descaling ensures optimal performance and longevity of your iron.
Ensure the iron is unplugged and has cooled down.
Open the Quick Calc Release door.
Shake out any loose scale from the iron.
Close the Quick Calc Release door.
Cleaning the Soleplate
If the soleplate is dirty, clean it with a damp cloth after it has cooled down.
Safety Precautions
- Always unplug the iron after use and before filling or emptying the water tank.
- Do not immerse the iron in water or any other liquid.
- Keep the iron out of reach of children.
- Do not leave the iron unattended while it is plugged in.
- Place the iron on its heel rest on a stable, flat surface.
- Ensure the voltage of your appliance corresponds to the local voltage before you connect it.
Auto Shut-off
For safety and energy saving, the iron is equipped with an automatic shut-off function:
- If the iron is left stationary on its soleplate for 30 seconds, it switches off automatically.
- If the iron is left stationary on its heel rest for 8 minutes, it switches off automatically.
- The auto shut-off is indicated by a flashing light and a beep. To resume ironing, move the iron gently.
