1. Introducción

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your DJGA-JDFH Mini Electric Household Sewing Machine, Model UFR-705. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the machine to ensure proper function and longevity.

2. Instrucciones de seguridad importantes

• Always unplug the machine from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning, removing, or replacing any parts.
• No permita que los niños operen la máquina sin supervisión.
• Utilice este aparato únicamente para el uso previsto, tal como se describe en este manual.
• Nunca opere la máquina si tiene un cable o enchufe dañado, si no funciona correctamente o si se ha caído o dañado.

4. Configuración y uso inicial

4.1 Encendido de la máquina

The sewing machine can be powered by either the included AC adapter or 4 AA batteries (not included).

• Adaptador de CA: Insert the small end of the AC adapter into the DC input jack on the back of the machine. Plug the other end into a standard electrical outlet (AC 100-240V).
• Baterías: Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the machine. Insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.

4.2 Enhebrado de la máquina

Proper threading is crucial for consistent stitching. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Coloque un carrete de hilo en el portacarrete.
2. Pase el hilo a través de la guía del hilo superior.
3. Pass the thread through the tension adjustment dial.
4. Enhebre la aguja de adelante hacia atrás.
5. Suba la palanca del pie prensatela.
6. Insert a pre-wound bobbin into the bobbin case under the needle plate. Ensure the thread unwinds in the correct direction.
7. Tire del hilo de la bobina hacia arriba a través de la abertura de la placa de la aguja utilizando el hilo superior.
8. Bajar el pie prensatela.

4.3 Colocación del pedal

The foot pedal provides hands-free speed control. Plug the foot pedal cable into the designated port on the side of the machine.

5. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

5.1 Selecting a Stitch Pattern

This machine offers 12 different stitch patterns. Rotate the stitch selector dial to choose your desired stitch. Refer to the stitch guide for visual representation of each pattern.

5.2 Ajuste de la velocidad de costura

The machine has two speed settings: Low (L) and High (H). Use the speed switch located on the front of the machine to select the appropriate speed for your project. For beginners or intricate work, the Low speed is recommended.

5.3 Inicio y parada de la costura

• Coloque la tela debajo del prensatelas.
• Baje la palanca del pie prensatela.
• Slowly press the foot pedal or slide the power switch to the 'ON' position to begin sewing.
• To stop, release the foot pedal or slide the power switch to the 'OFF' position.
• Raise the presser foot and gently pull the fabric away from the machine.
• Cut the threads using the built-in thread cutter.

5.4 Costura inversa

To reinforce stitches at the beginning and end of a seam, press and hold the reverse lever/button while sewing. Release to continue forward stitching.

6. Mantenimiento y cuidado

El mantenimiento regular garantiza la longevidad y el buen funcionamiento de su máquina de coser.

6.1 Limpieza

• Desenchufe siempre la máquina antes de limpiarla.
• Utilice un cepillo suave para eliminar la pelusa y el polvo del área de la bobina y los dientes de arrastre.
• Limpie el exterior de la máquina con un paño suave y seco. No utilice limpiadores líquidos ni productos químicos agresivos.

6.2 Reemplazo de la aguja

Replace the needle regularly, especially if it becomes bent, dull, or if you experience skipped stitches. Ensure the flat side of the needle faces the back of the machine when inserting.

6.3 Almacenamiento

Cuando no esté en uso, guarde la máquina en un lugar seco y sin polvo. Se recomienda cubrirla para protegerla del polvo.
