1. Introducción

Thank you for choosing the atolla Laser Distance Meter, Model T201. This compact and versatile device is designed to provide accurate and efficient measurements for a wide range of applications, from home DIY projects to professional construction tasks. With its advanced laser technology, multiple measurement modes, and user-friendly interface, the T201 simplifies complex measuring processes.

2. Información de seguridad

WARNING: This is a Class II laser product. Do not stare into the laser beam. Avoid direct eye exposure. Laser output is less than 1mW.

• No intente modificar ni desmontar el dispositivo.

3. Configuración

3.1 Instalación de la batería

The atolla Laser Distance Meter requires two AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:

1. Localice la tapa del compartimiento de la batería en la parte posterior del dispositivo.
2. Deslice la tapa hacia abajo para abrir el compartimento.
3. Inserte dos pilas AAA, asegurándose de la polaridad correcta (+/-) como se indica dentro del compartimento.

3.2 Encendido / Apagado

• Para encender el dispositivo, presione el ON/READ button. The backlit LCD will illuminate.
• Para apagar el dispositivo, mantenga presionado el botón OFF/Return button for a few seconds, or the device will automatically turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

• ON/READ Button: Powers on the device, initiates a measurement, or confirms a selection.
• +/- UNIT Button: Toggles between addition/subtraction mode and changes measurement units (meters, inches, feet).
• Area/Volume/Indirect Measurement Button: Cycles through different measurement modes (Area, Volume, Pythagorean).
• Reference Button / Mute Button: Changes the measurement reference point (front or rear of the device) or mutes/unmutes the device sounds.
• Botón Historial: Accesses the memory to review las últimas 20 medidas.
• OFF/Return Button: Powers off the device or returns to the previous screen/mode.

4.2 Cambio de unidades de medida

The device supports measurements in meters (m), inches (in), and feet (ft). To change the unit:

1. Presione el +/- UNIT Presione el botón repetidamente para recorrer las unidades disponibles.

4.3 Configuración del punto de referencia

Measurements can be taken from the front or the rear of the device. The default reference point can be adjusted by +/- 7mm if necessary for calibration.

4.4 Modos de medición

The atolla Laser Distance Meter offers several measurement modes:

• Medida individual: Prensa ON/READ once to activate the laser, then again to take a single measurement.
• Medición continua (mín./máx.): Mantenga pulsado el ON/READ button to enter continuous measurement mode. The device will continuously measure and display the current, minimum, and maximum distances. Press ON/READ de nuevo para detener.

• Medida de área: Presione el Area/Volume/Indirect Measurement button once. The display will show an icon for area. Take two consecutive measurements (length and width). The device will automatically calculate and display the area.
• Medida de volumen: Presione el Area/Volume/Indirect Measurement button twice. The display will show an icon for volume. Take three consecutive measurements (length, width, and height). The device will automatically calculate and display the volume.
• Medida pitagórica: Presione el Area/Volume/Indirect Measurement button repeatedly until the desired Pythagorean mode icon appears (e.g., for indirect height or length). Follow the on-screen prompts to take the required measurements (e.g., hypotenuse and one side). The device will calculate the unknown side.

4.5 Suma y resta

En el modo de medición, presione el botón +/- UNIT button to switch between addition (+) and subtraction (-) operations. Take subsequent measurements, and the device will add or subtract them from the previous result.

4.6 Función de silencio

To mute or unmute the device's sounds (e.g., button presses, measurement confirmations), press the Reference Button / Mute Button (speaker icon) briefly.

The device can save up to 20 measurement records. To review them, press the Historia button (book icon). Use the +/- UNIT Botones para navegar a través de las mediciones almacenadas.

5. Mantenimiento

• Limpieza: Utilice un paño suave y seco.amp cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive materials or solvents. Ensure the laser lens is kept clean for accurate measurements.
• Almacenamiento: Si no lo utiliza durante un período prolongado, retire las pilas para evitar fugas. Guarde el dispositivo en un lugar fresco y seco, alejado de la luz solar directa y de temperaturas extremas.
• Resistencia al agua y al polvo: The device has an IP54 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water from any direction. While resistant, avoid submerging the device in water.

• Medidas inexactas: Ensure the laser lens is clean. Verify the correct reference point is selected (front or rear). Ensure the target surface is reflective enough and the device is stable.

• Sin sonido: Check if the mute function is activated. Press the mute button to toggle sound.
