- Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
- Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners.
- Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
- Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
- Turn off all controls before unplugging.
- Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
- Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible materials (lighter fluid, gasoline, kerosene, etc.) or use in areas where they may be present.
- Do not pick up toxic material (chlorine bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner, etc.).
- Do not use in an enclosed space filled with vapors given off by oil base paint, paint thinner, some moth-proofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive or toxic vapors.

- Do not use without filters in place.

Intended Use
The Bissell SpotClean ProHeat is designed for cleaning spots and stains on various surfaces, including:

Setup
Assembly
- Unpack the unit and ensure all components are present.
- Attach the hose to the unit by aligning the hose connector with the port on the front of the machine and twisting clockwise until it locks into place.
- Select the desired cleaning tool (3-inch tough stain tool or 3-in-1 stair tool) and attach it to the end of the hose until it clicks securely.
Filling the Clean Water Tank
- Remove the clean water tank from the back of the machine by lifting it straight up.
- Unscrew the black cap at the bottom of the tank.
- Fill the tank with hot tap water (not boiling) to the 'WATER' fill line.
- Add BISSELL PRO OXY Spot & Stain formula to the 'FORMULA' fill line. Do not overfill.
- Replace the black cap and tighten securely.
- Place the clean water tank back onto the machine, ensuring it is seated firmly.
Operating Instructions
Preparing the Area
- Vacuum the area to be cleaned to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Test a small, inconspicuous area for colorfastness before cleaning. If color is affected, do not use.
Spot Cleaning
- Plug the machine into a grounded electrical outlet.
- Hold the cleaning tool approximately 1 inch above the soiled surface.
- Press the spray trigger to apply cleaning solution to the stain.
- Gently scrub the stain with the brush on the tool.
- Apply downward pressure on the tool and pull it slowly towards you to suction up the dirty solution. Repeat as necessary until the stain is removed.
- For best results, make several passes over the area without pressing the spray trigger to ensure maximum suction and drying.

Maintenance
Emptying and Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank
- Remove the dirty water tank from the front of the machine.
- Unlatch the tank lid and pour out the dirty water.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
- Clean the red float stack filter inside the tank by rinsing it under running water.
- Allow the tank and filter to air dry before reassembling.
Cleaning the Nozzle
- The nozzle on the cleaning tool can be removed for cleaning. Press the release button (if applicable) and slide the nozzle off.
- Rinse the nozzle under running water to remove any debris or buildup.
- Ensure the spray tip is clear of obstructions.
- Reattach the nozzle securely after cleaning.
Using the HydroRinse Tool
- After cleaning, remove the cleaning tool from the hose.
- Attach the HydroRinse self-cleaning tool to the end of the hose.
- Place the HydroRinse tool into a sink or bucket.
- Turn on the machine and press the spray trigger for 10-15 seconds to flush clean water through the hose, removing dirt and odors.
- Release the trigger and turn off the machine.
- Remove the HydroRinse tool and store the hose.
Storage
- Ensure both clean and dirty water tanks are empty and clean before storage.
- Wrap the power cord neatly around the cord wrap.
- Store the machine in a dry, protected area at room temperature. Do not store where freezing may occur.
