3. Configuración

3.1. Instalación de la batería

The Femometer Digital Thermometer comes with one LR41 battery pre-installed. If the battery needs replacement, follow these steps:

1. Gently slide off the battery cover located at the end of the thermometer.
2. Retire la batería LR41 vieja.
3. Inserte una batería LR41 nueva con el lado positivo (+) hacia arriba.

3.2. Encendido inicial

Press the power button to turn on the thermometer. A short beep will sound, and the display will show all segments briefly, followed by the last measured temperature. Then, 'Lo' with a flashing '°C' or '°F' will appear, indicating the thermometer is ready for measurement.

4. Instrucciones de funcionamiento

4.1. Tomando una medida

1. Asegúrese de que el termómetro esté limpio y desinfectado.
2. Presione el botón de encendido para encender el dispositivo.
3. Position the thermometer according to the desired measurement method (oral, rectal, or underarm).
4. Hold the thermometer in place until a series of beeps indicates the measurement is complete. For accurate readings, continue holding for approximately 60 seconds after the initial beep.
5. Lea la temperatura que se muestra en la pantalla LCD.
6. Presione el botón de encendido para apagar el termómetro, o se apagará automáticamente después de aproximadamente 10 minutos de inactividad.

4.2. Métodos de medición

• Uso oral: Place the tip of the thermometer under the tongue. Close your mouth and hold the thermometer in place.

• Uso rectal: Lubricate the tip with a water-soluble jelly. Gently insert the tip into the rectum (approximately 0.5 inches for infants). This method is generally recommended for infants and young children.
