Instrucciones de instalación
Follow these steps to set up your Digicom Powerline network:
1. Conecte el primer adaptador
- Plug one Digicom Powerline adapter directly into a wall power outlet near your internet router. Avoid power strips or extension cords, as they can interfere with performance.
- Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the Powerline adapter.
- Conecte el otro extremo del cable Ethernet a un puerto LAN disponible en su enrutador de Internet.
- Wait for the Power LED and Powerline LED on the adapter to turn solid green, indicating a successful connection.

2. Conecte el segundo adaptador
- Plug the second Digicom Powerline adapter directly into a wall power outlet in the room where you need internet access. Again, avoid power strips.
- Connect one end of the second Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on this Powerline adapter.
- Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port of your device (e.g., computer, smart TV, gaming console).
- Wait for the Power LED, Powerline LED, and Ethernet LED on the second adapter to turn solid green. This indicates a successful network connection.

3. Secure Your Network (Pairing)
For enhanced security, you can pair your Powerline adapters. This encrypts the data transmitted over your electrical network.
- Ensure both Powerline adapters are plugged in and communicating (Powerline LED is on).
- Press the "Pair" button (often labeled with a house icon or a lock) on the first adapter for 1-2 seconds. The Power LED will start blinking.
- Within two minutes, press the "Pair" button on the second adapter for 1-2 seconds. Its Power LED will also start blinking.
- After a few moments, the Powerline LEDs on both adapters should turn solid green, indicating successful pairing and a secure connection.
Note: The exact location and labeling of the "Pair" button may vary slightly. Refer to the adapter itself for specific markings.
Operating the Adapters
Indicadores LED
The adapters feature several LED indicators to show their status:
- Power LED (Light Bulb Icon):
- Verde sólido: el dispositivo está encendido.
- Blinking Green: Pairing mode active.
- Apagado: el dispositivo está apagado.
- Powerline LED (House Icon):
- Solid Green: Connected to a Powerline network with good speed.
- Solid Amber: Connected to a Powerline network with fair speed.
- Solid Red: Connected to a Powerline network with poor speed.
- Apagado: No conectado a una red Powerline.
- Ethernet LED (Ethernet Port Icon):
- Solid Green: Ethernet device connected.
- Blinking Green: Data is being transmitted via the Ethernet port.
- Off: No Ethernet device connected.
Consideraciones de rendimiento
- For optimal performance, plug adapters directly into wall outlets. Power strips, surge protectors, and extension cords can degrade Powerline signal quality.
- Powerline performance can be affected by the quality of your home's electrical wiring, distance between adapters, and electrical interference from other appliances.
- The adapters are designed for "Plug and Play" operation, meaning they should automatically connect once plugged in. Pairing is primarily for security.
Mantenimiento
- Limpieza: Disconnect the adapters from power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
- Colocación: Ensure adequate ventilation around the adapters. Do not cover them or place them in enclosed spaces.
- Almacenamiento: If storing the adapters, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Solución de problemas
No Powerline Connection (Powerline LED Off)
- Ensure both adapters are plugged directly into wall outlets, not power strips or extension cords.
- Verify that the electrical outlets are functional.
- Intente conectar los adaptadores en diferentes tomas de corriente dentro del mismo circuito eléctrico.
- If your home has multiple electrical phases, Powerline adapters may not communicate across different phases.
- Attempt to re-pair the adapters as described in the "Secure Your Network" section.
Slow Connection Speed (Powerline LED Amber or Red)
- Reubique los adaptadores en diferentes tomas de pared para encontrar una mejor ruta de conexión.
- Ensure no high-power electrical appliances (e.g., washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves) are on the same circuit as the Powerline adapters, as they can cause interference.
- Avoid using power strips or surge protectors.
- The maximum theoretical speed is 500 Mbps; actual speeds will vary based on network conditions and electrical interference.
No Internet Access on Connected Device (Ethernet LED Off)
- Check the Ethernet cable connections at both the adapter and your device.
- Ensure your router is functioning correctly and providing internet access.
- Verify that the Powerline connection between the two adapters is established (Powerline LED is solid green/amber/red).
- Pruebe con un cable Ethernet diferente.
Resetting the Adapters
To reset an adapter to factory defaults (which will also unpair it from any existing network), press and hold the "Pair" button for more than 10 seconds until all LEDs briefly flash. You will then need to re-pair the adapters.
