1-2 Person Sauna
Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of an Infrared Sauna from Golden Designs, Inc. This manual provides instructions for assembly, operation, and maintenance. Please read it carefully and keep it for future reference.
This sauna is for indoor use only and requires a 120VAC, 15 AMP dedicated circuit.
Infrared saunas use infrared radiant energy to penetrate the body's tissue, producing perspiration at lower temperatures than traditional saunas. This process is called conversion.
What are Infrared Rays?
Infrared rays are a band of light perceived as heat. They heat the body directly without heating the air in between. Infrared is divided into three segments by wavelengths: near infrared (0.76-1.5 microns), middle infrared (1.5-5.6 microns), and far infrared (5.6-1000 microns). Far infrared is most effective for penetrating the body.
Infrared rays are safe and beneficial, used in hospital incubators and for treating muscle and joint problems.
How it Works
Unlike traditional saunas that use steam and high temperatures (around 190°F), infrared saunas operate at lower temperatures (up to 120°F), making the environment more tolerable.
Benefits:
- Deep heating effect in muscle tissues and internal organs.
- Perspiration process removes toxins, waste residue, and heavy metals.
- Opens skin pores, leaving skin glowing and clean with improved tone and elasticity.
- Pain relief from Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Relaxing muscle spasms
- Increasing blood circulation
- Cardiovascular conditioning
- Clears rashes, acne
- Reduces cellulite
- Reduces stress and fatigue
- Enhances skin tone
Sauna Maintenance
Wipe down with water and a soft clean cloth. Do not use cleaning chemicals as they can be absorbed into the wood.
Disclaimer
The benefits of infrared rays are based on research and are presented for reference only. Consult a physician before use if you have health conditions, are taking prescription drugs, or have acute joint injuries. Persons with surgical implants should also consult their physician.
CAUTION: Exit sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, sleepy, or any discomfort.

Troubleshooting Guide
1. No Heat Coming From Some Of The Heat Emitters
- Solution: Check all heat emitter cord connections, including under the bench and on the roof. Ensure they are properly plugged into the power supply.
- Solution: If some emitters work and others do not, the non-working ones may be damaged. Contact the manufacturer for replacement parts.
- Solution: If emitters are not working but the control panel displays time/temperature, the temperature sensor may be damaged or unplugged. Turn off power, go to the roof, locate the red/black wires labeled “TEMP SENSOR”, disconnect them. Connect a spare sensor. Place the spare sensor inside the sauna via the roof vent for testing. If emitters heat, the sensor was the issue. Replace the original sensor.
2. Control Panel Malfunctioning
- Solution: If the panel turns on but not off, or numbers flash, check the “CTRL” wire harness connection on the roof. Disconnect, check pins, and reconnect firmly.
- Solution: If the control panel does not turn off, or power/work/heat lights do not function, the control panel may be damaged and require replacement. Contact the manufacturer.
3. Sauna Shows Signs Of No Power
- Solution: Check if the power cord is plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Inspect the power supply on the roof for signs of malfunction (high temperature, burning odor, strange sounds). Check power cords for damage. Unplug immediately and contact the manufacturer if issues are found.
- Solution: If the sauna is plugged in but has no power at the control panel, reset the power supply by pressing the RESET button on the roof.
- Solution: If the temperature sensor is damaged, replace it as described in troubleshooting point 1.
- Solution: Check wiring harnesses from the power supply on the roof. Ensure the “CTRL” harness is properly connected at both ends.
4. CD Player Will Not Work
- Solution: Ensure the lock screws on top of the radio have been removed.
