1-2 Person Sauna

Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of an Infrared Sauna from Golden Designs, Inc. This manual provides instructions for assembly, operation, and maintenance. Please read it carefully and keep it for future reference.

This sauna is for indoor use only and requires a 120VAC, 15 AMP dedicated circuit.

Infrared saunas use infrared radiant energy to penetrate the body's tissue, producing perspiration at lower temperatures than traditional saunas. This process is called conversion.

What are Infrared Rays?

Infrared rays are a band of light perceived as heat. They heat the body directly without heating the air in between. Infrared is divided into three segments by wavelengths: near infrared (0.76-1.5 microns), middle infrared (1.5-5.6 microns), and far infrared (5.6-1000 microns). Far infrared is most effective for penetrating the body.

Infrared rays are safe and beneficial, used in hospital incubators and for treating muscle and joint problems.

How it Works

Unlike traditional saunas that use steam and high temperatures (around 190°F), infrared saunas operate at lower temperatures (up to 120°F), making the environment more tolerable.

Benefits:

Sauna Maintenance

Wipe down with water and a soft clean cloth. Do not use cleaning chemicals as they can be absorbed into the wood.

Disclaimer

The benefits of infrared rays are based on research and are presented for reference only. Consult a physician before use if you have health conditions, are taking prescription drugs, or have acute joint injuries. Persons with surgical implants should also consult their physician.

CAUTION: Exit sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, sleepy, or any discomfort.

Operating the Sauna

NOTE: Before turning on the sauna, remove protective coverings from control panels. Ensure all connections are secure. Verify power supply voltage and frequency match sauna requirements (120VAC 15AMP or 20AMP Dedicated Circuit).

Wear minimal clothing for maximum infrared ray absorption. The emitters heat the body directly, not the air.

Drink water before, during, and after use to prevent dehydration.
