Operation Steps

  1. Preparation: Before use, ensure the volume is at the minimum and the M1 PRO amplifier is powered off.
  2. Passive Speaker Connection: Connect passive speakers to the M1 PRO's speaker output. Pay attention to positive and negative poles. Avoid speaker cables touching the M1 PRO's shell. The M1 PRO also features a low-frequency output for connecting an active subwoofer.
  3. Wired Input (RCA/U-disk):
    • RCA: Connect your audio source (e.g., CD player, DAC) to the M1 PRO's RCA input using an RCA cable.
    • U-disk: Insert a U-disk into the USB socket.
  4. Power On: Connect the power adapter to the M1 PRO first, then plug the power cable into a wall socket. Toggle the input switch from OFF to RCA or USB/BT position.
  5. Wireless Input (Bluetooth): Toggle the input switch to the USB/BT position. Long press the P/M button to switch to Bluetooth input mode (the blue indicator will flash). On your phone or tablet, search for "BT HiFi AUDIO" and connect. The blue indicator will become steady blue upon successful connection. Note: U-disk input has priority; the input mode automatically switches to U-disk when a U-disk is inserted.
  6. Playback: Play music from your audio source. Adjust the treble, bass, and main volume according to your preferences.
  7. Power Off: After use, toggle the power switch to the OFF position first, then disconnect the power adapter.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Why are all cables connected but there is no sound?

A: 1. Check the power indicator light of the M1 PRO. If it lights up normally, verify that the corresponding input mode is selected. If it does not light up, try another DC 19-35V power supply to determine if the fault is with the power supply or the M1 PRO.

2. If the indicator light is on but there is no sound, indicating the power supply is normal, check the audio signal transmission order: audio source → audio cable → preamp/decoder → amplifier → speaker.

3. If all connections and settings seem correct, check if the audio source is muted, paused, or if the volume is too low.

Q: Why is the sound distorted? How to adjust the treble, bass, and main volume?

A: The input amplitude might be too high. If both the audio source and M1 PRO volumes are at maximum, distortion can occur. Reduce the volume of the audio source or M1 PRO. Generally, adjust the amplifier volume to about 60%, then fine-tune the preamp volume to minimize distortion. Treble and bass are typically adjusted based on music style, device type, and personal preference.

Q: Why is there a loud current sound or buzzing sound on the speaker?

A: 1. Use the original power supply. Many power supplies on the market can cause current noise.

2. When using unshielded signal cables without a load, interface signals may occur. Use a shielded signal cable or unplug it.

3. If noise persists after addressing the above, confirm if it's external or internal noise. Disconnect all inputs and only keep the power supply and power cable connected. If the noise disappears, it's from the audio input. If the noise remains, it's likely caused by the M1 PRO's internal power supply.

Q: Why does the amplifier stop working after a period of time and then return to normal after disconnecting for a while?

A: The amplifier's actual output power might exceed its rated power. Lower the amplifier's volume or place it in a well-ventilated area.

Q: Why does the volume of different audio sources (e.g., changing from a CD player to a phone) differ when the M1 PRO's volume is unchanged?

A: Different audio devices can output different signal amplitudes. For example, a phone typically outputs 0.35V, while a CD player outputs 1V.

Q: Why is the sound of the power amplifier not good initially, with unclear high frequency, but becomes normal after a period of use?

A: For new speakers and amplifiers, a burn-in period of at least 10 hours is recommended for better sound quality.

Q: How to adjust the treble and bass better?

A: Treble and bass controls compensate for equipment and environmental deficiencies. Adjust them according to your music, listening environment, and personal preferences. A 12 o'clock position typically means 0 gain; rotating anticlockwise decreases gain, and clockwise increases gain.

Q: Why is there no sound or very little sound after the amplifier is connected to the speaker?

A: 1. Check if the audio source is turned on and its volume is not at the minimum.

2. Confirm if the speaker and amplifier are compatible (e.g., speaker impedance, power rating). Ensure the speaker's power requirement is not too high for the amplifier.

Q: What are the reasons for unbalanced left and right speaker volume and how to eliminate them?

A: Check the audio source, input cable, volume potentiometer (some amplifiers have balanced or separate left/right volume control), speaker cable, and speakers (ensure symmetrical positioning and distance).

Q: Why can't Bluetooth be searched? How to switch to Bluetooth mode?

A: Toggle the input switch on the panel or press the "SELECT" button on the remote control to switch to BT mode. The blue indicator will flash. Use your phone or tablet to search for "BT HiFi AUDIO," click to connect, and then play music. (The Bluetooth name may vary across different product models; refer to the specific user manual if needed).

Q: Why does Bluetooth playback lag or disconnect? Why is Bluetooth background noise/current noise obvious?

A: Check if the Bluetooth antenna is installed correctly. Verify there is no interference or blocking (e.g., from WiFi routers, wireless telephones, FM radio, or inductive loads like fans/refrigerators/air conditioners) as they may operate in the same frequency band as Bluetooth. Ensure the Bluetooth device is not blocked or too far from the amplifier (more than 15 meters).

Q: Can the M1 PRO be connected to a computer via Bluetooth? Why is there no sound when connected to a PC?

A: Computers often have poorer compatibility and more complex operations with Bluetooth compared to phones. Ensure your computer has Bluetooth functionality, update its drivers, and set the M1 PRO as the output device after connection.

Q: Why is there no music output after inserting a U-disk?

A: Confirm the U-disk's format and capacity (only U-disks in FAT32 format up to 64GB are supported). Also, confirm the file format of the music files. Place music files in the root directory; do not create new folders or play unsupported files, as this may cause errors.

Q: Why is U-disk playback sometimes laggy?

A: MP3, FLAC, APE, WMA, WAV, and other common formats are supported. Ensure music files are in the root directory and no unsupported files are present, which could cause errors.

Q: Why is there a thumping sound when switching on/off?

A: Confirm the correct on-off sequence. When powering on, the normal sequence is audio source → preamp / DAC → amplifier → speaker. When powering off, the sequence is reversed. Internal capacitors discharge after shutdown. Turning off the preamp first and then the amplifier can cause an impact sound, potentially damaging the amplifier or speakers in severe cases.

Warning

  1. Do not open the shell of the device yourself; improper operation may cause a risk of electric shock.
  2. Use only the regular manufacturer's switching power supply to avoid damage to the M1 PRO.
  3. Do not use the M1 PRO in a high temperature and humidity environment.
  4. Do not let the speaker cable touch the shell of the M1 PRO when connecting the speaker output, as this may burn out the amplifier chip.
  5. The default 32V/5A power supply is sufficient for most home speakers. If higher power output is required, prepare a high-quality and larger power supply independently.
