WARNING
– Opening the top cover is only allowed when the device is cold. Otherwise, there is a risk of burns.
– When opening the device route the power cord in such a way that it does not come into contact with the top cover.
This symbol is a warning against the high temperature of the appliance surface.

GK160 electric grill is designed for grilling, frying, heating, etc. of different types of food. Thanks to the moveable top cover, the device can be used as a contact grill (simultaneous, two-sided roasting of different thickness products) or as a traditional, horizontal grill (after opening to 180 degrees).
– Before using the appliance, make sure that the appliance, the plug and the power cable are in good technical order and whether all parts of the package were removed.
– Before the first use, all parts of the appliance that are in contact with food must be thoroughly washed (see: Cleaning and maintenance).
Specific smell may be sensed during the first use, which results from the production process. It is a normal process and it will go away after a time. Ensure the proper ventilation in the room, e.g. opening the window. The first use of the appliance should be without products.
Before using the device and plugging it in to the power supply mains with the parameters compliant with the ones indicated on the device, set the thermostat (3) in the “0” position.
– Set the device on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
– Close the cover (1).
– Install the grease collector (9) in the base (8) – fig. 1.
– Connect the device to a power supply. A red control lamp (5) will come on.
– Set the temperature using the thermostat (3). A green control lamp (4) is lit when the device is heating up, and it turns off, when the device reaches the desired temperature.
– Open the cover (1) holding it by the holder (2). Place the products and gently close the cover (1). Do not push the cover (1) down, as you may crush the products, and do not block it during operation (6). The cover (1) will automatically adjust to the thickness of the products.
– The green control lamp turns on and off during frying. The thermostat maintains a proper temperature.
– Remove the products when they are done frying. In order not to damage the heating plates, use spatula (12), wooden or plastic, heat-resistant utensils.
– During the preparation of new portions of products, close the cover (1) in order to maintain the temperature.
– Empty the container (9) regularly.
– After the full completion of roasting, disconnect the device from the power supply.
HORIZONTAL GRILL
– Set the device on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface.
– Push the lock button (7) and open the top cover holding it by the holder (2). 12

– Connect the device to a power supply. A red control lamp (5) will come on.
– Set the temperature using the thermostat (3). A green control lamp (4) is lit when the device is heating up, and it turns off, when the device reaches the desired temperature.
– Place the products on the plates and grill turning them once in a while.
– The green control lamp turns on and off during frying. The thermostat maintains a proper temperature.
– Remove the products when they are done frying. In order not to damage the heating plates, use spatula (12), wooden or plastic, heat-resistant utensils.
– Empty the container (9) regularly.
– After the full completion of roasting, disconnect the device from the power supply.
– disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool down before cleaning it,
– do not immerse any part of the appliance in water or other liquids
– first, rub the cooking plates with paper towels in order to remove grease,
– then, clean the appliance and the cord gently with a wet cloth
– do not use cleaning agents and dissolvent,
– in case of residue which is difficult to be removed, do not use sharp tools as they can destroy coatings on the plates of the appliance. The best way to remove dirt is to cover them with a wet cloth to dissolve the residue,
– clean and empty the tray (9) regularly. The tray can be taken out and washed in warm water with some washing liquid.

– the device should be handled to a special point which deals with collecting and recycling of electric and electronic equipment
