SAFETY WARNINGS FOR USE INTELLIGENT BATTERY CHARGERS
The following list of safety warnings has been compiled in accordance with the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR). Its purpose is to protect users from potential hazards arising from the misuse of products. The warnings have been formulated in a simple and understandable way to be accessible to a wide audience, including the elderly and people with reduced mobility.
The intelligent battery chargers on offer from manufacturer NTEC sp. z o.o. are CEcertified, demonstrating their compliance with EU safety standards.
Use smart battery chargers as intended and as recommended by the manufacturer.
BASIC HAZARDS AND PRECAUTIONS
1. Risk of electric shock: Make sure the charger is plugged into a grounded socket with the correct voltage according to the manufacturer's specifications. Do not touch the plug or cable with wet hands. Regularly check the condition of the power cables and plugs - replace them immediately if damaged. Do not dismantle the housing of the charger - this could lead to an electric shock.
2. Risk of overheating: Do not cover the charger during operation - ensure adequate airflow around the unit. Avoid using the charger in high temperature areas or near heat sources such as radiators. If the charger heats up excessively during operation, disconnect it immediately and contact the service department.
3. Fire risk: Use only compatible batteries in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Do not leave the charger unattended during prolonged charging, especially at night. If you notice smoke, a burning smell or other abnormalities, immediately disconnect the appliance from the power supply and contact the manufacturer.
SPECIFIC HAZARDS ARISING FROM USE
4. Risk of damage to the battery: Make sure the battery is not damaged or flooded before charging. Use the charging modes recommended by the manufacturer for the specific battery type. Do not charge batteries that have exceeded their service life or show signs of wear.
5. Risk of misuse: Only use the charger for its intended purpose - do not use it to charge other types of batteries than those indicated in the specifications. Do not modify or repair the charger yourself. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for maximum charging time.
6. Risks associated with humid environments: Do not use the charger in damp areas or outdoor locations without adequate weather protection. Store the unit in a dry place to avoid corrosion of internal components.

7. Risk of misconnection: Ensure that all connections between the charger and the battery are correct and well secured. Do not connect the charger to batteries in vehicles or appliances that are not switched off.
MAINTENANCE PRECAUTIONS
8. Risks arising from inadequate maintenance: Clean the charger regularly with a soft, dry cloth - avoid using water or aggressive chemicals. Check the device for mechanical damage, such as cracks in the housing - if these occur, contact the manufacturer or its authorised service centre.
ADDITIONAL WARNINGS
9. Child protection Keep the charger and batteries out of the reach of children. Secure the power socket when the charger is not in use.
10. Avoid modifications Do not attempt to modify or repair the charger yourself. In the event of problems, contact the manufacturer's authorised service centre.
11. Action in the event of an emergency: If the unit exhibits abnormal operation, such as overheating, sparking, unusual odour or noises, immediately switch it off and disconnect it from the power supply and then contact the service centre. If you observe any unsafe product behaviour, contact the manufacturer urgently.
THE IMPORTANCE OF COMPLYING WITH THE WARNINGS
Following the above warnings minimises the risk of personal injury, equipment failure and property damage. Ignoring the recommendations can lead to serious health and material risks. Keep yourself and your loved ones safe by observing the precautions indicated.
