This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Zbtlink WG826 4G LTE WiFi N300 Wireless Router. Designed for reliable internet access in various environments, including rural homes, cottages, and RVs, this router offers robust connectivity and advanced features.

3. Setup

3.1. Hardware Installation

1. Install Antennas: Carefully screw the four provided antennas into their corresponding ports on the router. Ensure the 2.4GHz antennas are connected to the 2.4GHz interfaces and the 3G/4G antennas to the 3G/4G interfaces.
2. Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the router. Insert your carrier's SIM card with the chip facing up until it clicks into place. Use the provided SIM tray/pin if necessary.
3. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC 12V port on the router and then into a power outlet. The router will power on automatically.
4. Connect Ethernet (Optional): For wired connections, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to a LAN port on the router and the other end to your computer or other network device.

3.2. Initial Access

Once powered on, wait for the Wi-Fi indicator light to illuminate. This indicates the router is ready for configuration.

1. Connect to Wi-Fi: On your computer or mobile device, search for available Wi-Fi networks. The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) will be "WIFI-XXXXXX", where XXXXXX are the last six digits of the MAC address found on the router's label.
2. Access Web Interface: Open a web browser and enter the default management IP address: 192.168.1.1.
3. Login: Enter the default username "root" and password "admin" to log in. You will be prompted to change the password for security reasons.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Network Configuration

The router is designed for easy setup. After logging into the web interface:

• The router should automatically detect your SIM card and connect to the 4G LTE network.
• Verify the 4G signal strength and connection status in the network settings.
• You can customize Wi-Fi settings (SSID, password) through the "WiFi Setup" menu.

4.2. USB and MicroSD Storage (NAS Functionality)

The router features a USB 2.0 port and a TF (microSD) slot for shared network storage:

• Insert a USB drive or microSD card into the respective slot.
• Access the storage via SAMBA or FTP through the router's web interface to share files across your network.

4.3. OpenWrt Compatibility

The Zbtlink WG826 is OpenWrt compatible, allowing for advanced customization:

• OpenWrt firmware upgrades can be obtained via customer service.
• Advanced features like VPN, VLAN, and firewall configurations are available through OpenWrt.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Self-Healing Feature

The router includes a hardware watchdog that monitors its operation:

• If the system crashes or the 4G connection fails, the router will automatically reboot within 120 seconds.
• This feature ensures continuous network availability without manual intervention, ideal for remote installations.

5.2. Firmware Upgrades

Regular firmware updates are recommended to ensure optimal performance and security:

• Firmware upgrades can be performed through the web interface.
• In case of issues during an upgrade, a long press of the Reset button can activate firmware rescue mode.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Internet Connection:
  • Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and activated with your carrier.
  • Check the 4G signal strength in the web interface.
  • Verify that the APN settings are correct for your mobile carrier. These can usually be found in the "Network" or "3G/4G" section of the web interface.
  • Reboot the router by unplugging and replugging the power adapter.
• Slow Wi-Fi Speed:
  • Ensure antennas are properly connected and oriented for optimal signal.
  • Reduce the distance between your device and the router, and minimize obstacles.
  • Check for interference from other electronic devices.
• Cannot Access Web Interface:
  • Verify your device is connected to the router's Wi-Fi network or via Ethernet.
  • Ensure you are entering the correct IP address (192.168.1.1).
  • Try clearing your browser's cache or using a different browser.
  • If you forgot your password, perform a factory reset (refer to the installation guide for specific steps).
