Every person who is responsible for this desk at installation or employment of the desk in daily use or in service and repair work should carefully read these instructions. Keep these instructions close to your sit/stand desk.
Installation Instructions
The desk is assembled according to separate assembly instructions. Connect the motor cable from one leg to the M1 port on the control box. Connect the cable from the other leg to the M2 port on the control box. Connect the hand controller to the HS port and the power supply to the AC port on the control box. The control box should be placed in the tray created by the frame, and the electrical cable should be placed in the felt tray on the back. Position the electrical cable so it does not get damaged. Please check the assembly instructions. Connect the electrical cable to a wall socket (or a socket placed in the felt tray).
Note! The electrical cable must have full mobility.
Usage of the desk
The desk shall only be used as a working desk with the possibility to continuously adjust the working height between sitting and standing positions. The desk shall only be used indoors and in dry premises (office environment or similar).
The desk must not be overloaded - maximum load is 80 kg/176 lbs, evenly distributed on the desk top. Note that the desk top is two parted and the smaller back panel/plug-in module is not part of the desk top surface and shall not be loaded.
Safety regulations
When the desk moves up/down, keep the necessary safety distance to avoid the risk of entrapment between the moving desk top and fixed objects in the surrounding area. When the desk moves up/down, the user shall keep watch so that nobody is injured or no object is damaged. The desk top must not be blocked by a fixed object which may risk that the desk overturns. Always remove any office chair before the desk moves up/down. The desk tripod must not be altered or reconstructed in any way. In service and repair work of the desk, the electrical cable must always be disconnected from the wall socket (the connected socket). Alterations to the control box and hand controller are absolutely forbidden! Alterations to the legs are absolutely forbidden! The desk must not be used as a hoisting device for persons.
In environments and situations prone to static electricity, electrostatic discharge may occur when touching the operator's surface, potentially triggering the system's protection.
If an orange light is flashing as a warning, a reset operation can be performed. If the system does not respond, disconnect the AC power.
Mount only approved work surfaces and secondary surfaces in accordance with instructions. Failure to do so may cause instability, collapse, or failure of electrical components.
Maintenance and repair instructions
After approx. 1 week of use, check that the screws are properly tightened. If the desk cannot be lowered or raised, check the connections between the desk power plug and the wall socket (the socket) and ensure that all cables are connected firmly in place. If any part of the electrical height-adjusdesk desk needs to be replaced, the electrical cable must be first disconnected from the wall socket (the socket). After finishing the replacement, then connect the electrical cable to the wall socket (the socket) and then finish the reset process according to the reset instructions. After resetting successfully without any problems, the desk is ready for use. If the desk still does not work, please contact your nearest IKEA store or customer service.
