Introduction & Important Safety Information
Congratulations on the purchase of this Audizio product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the unit to benefit fully from all features.
Read the manual prior to using the unit. Follow the instructions to avoid invalidating the warranty. Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or electrical shock. Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician.
Important Safety Precautions:
- Ask a specialist for advice before using the unit. A slight smell may occur on first use, which is normal and will disappear.
- The unit contains voltage-carrying parts; do NOT open the housing.
- Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the unit, as this may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- Do not place the unit near heat sources or on vibrating surfaces. Do not cover ventilation holes.
- The unit is not suitable for continuous use.
- Be careful with the mains lead; a faulty or damaged lead can cause electrical shock and malfunction.
- When unplugging, always pull the plug, never the lead.
- Do not plug or unplug with wet hands.
- If the plug or mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
- If the unit is damaged and internal parts are visible, do NOT plug it in or switch it on. Contact your dealer.
- Do NOT connect the unit to a rheostat or dimmer.
- To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain and moisture.
- All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
- Connect to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
- Unplug during thunderstorms or long periods of non-use.
- If the unit has not been used for a longer period, condensation may occur. Let it reach room temperature before switching on. Never use in humid rooms or outdoors.
- Follow applicable guidelines to prevent accidents.
- Do not repeatedly switch the unit on and off, as this shortens its lifetime.
- Keep out of reach of children and do not leave unattended.
- Do not use cleaning sprays on switches; residues can cause dust and grease buildup. Seek specialist advice for malfunctions.
- Do not force controls.
- Keep at least 60cm away from computers or TVs due to potential magnetic fields.
- If the product has a built-in lead-acid rechargeable battery, recharge it every 3 months if not in use to prevent permanent damage.
- If the battery is damaged, replace it with a battery of the same specifications and dispose of the damaged battery environmentally.
- If the unit has fallen, have it checked by a qualified technician before switching it on again.
- Do not use chemicals to clean the unit; use a dry cloth.
- Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
- Use only original spares for repairs to avoid serious damage or dangerous radiation.
- Switch off the unit before unplugging it. Unplug all leads and cables before moving the unit.
- Ensure the mains lead cannot be damaged by foot traffic. Check the mains lead for damage before each use.
- Verify mains voltage (220-240Vac/50Hz) matches your outlet.
- Keep original packing for safe transport.

- Do not attempt self-repair; this will void the warranty. Audizio is not responsible for personal injury or damage due to misuse or failure to follow instructions.
Unpacking Instruction
Immediately unpack and check contents for all parts. Notify the shipper of any damage or missing parts and retain packing material for inspection.
Save the package and all packing materials. If the product must be returned, it is important to use the original factory box and packing.
If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations (e.g., after transportation), do not switch it on immediately. Condensation may damage the device. Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
Power Supply
Check the label on the back for the required power supply voltage. Ensure it corresponds to the specified voltage; other voltages may cause irreparable damage.
The product must be connected directly to the mains. Do not use a dimmer or adjustable power supply.
[!] Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse). Ensure the device has appropriate electrical grounding to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.
Controls
The Audizio Milan DAB+ Radio features the following controls:
- 1. Power / Volume control: Rotate clockwise to power on the radio. Rotate anti-clockwise to power off. Turn to increase/decrease volume level.
- 2. Standby on/off
- 3. Mode: Toggle to switch between DAB and FM.
- 4. Scan: Press to initiate a full scan for DAB or FM stations.

: Press and hold to enter the preset store list. Press briefly to recall the preset list. - 6. Info/Menu: Press and hold to enter the main menu. Briefly press to cycle through broadcast information.
- 7. Sleep: Press to enter sleep timer selection.
- 8. Preset button 1/2/3: Dedicated buttons for preset channels. Press and hold to store a channel, press briefly to recall.

- 11. Tune / Select: Press to confirm selection. Rotate the knob to browse items or adjust radio frequencies. In FM mode, push to scan the next available station.

Getting Started
The radio is powered by the built-in lithium battery. A USB cable is supplied for charging.

Charging Battery
Always check the battery indicator on the top right corner of the screen for the battery status.
When battery power is low, the indicator will be blank and "Battery low" will appear.
To charge, connect the micro USB plug to the port at the rear of the radio and the other end to a 5V OUT power source. The LED will light up red while charging and turn green when charging is complete.
Note: Charging may take longer if the radio is playing or in standby during charging.
BT Playback
For transmission between your BT device and the radio, both devices must be paired. The radio acts as a receiver for music streams.
If previously paired, the connection will restore automatically when devices are in range and BT mode is selected. Pairing does not need to be repeated, but may need to be activated on your BT device.
- Press the Menu button to display the mode selection menu.
- Use the up/down buttons to select BT mode and press the dial switch.
- Turn on your BT device and activate pairing mode. The device will scan for BT devices.
- When the radio is found, your BT device will show its name: "Audizio Milan".
- Select the radio on your BT device.
- Start playback on your BT device.
- Playback will now occur via the radio.

For manual frequency adjustment, rotate the
Preset Station
Your radio can store up to 40 DAB and 40 FM stations for instant access.
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press and hold the
button to enter the "Preset Store" list. - Select the preset number using the
knob and press to confirm. - There are 3 dedicated preset buttons for quick saving and recall.
- Existing presets can be replaced by following the same procedure.
Recall a Station Preset
Briefly press the
If favorite channels are assigned to preset buttons 1-3, simply press these buttons for quick access.
Note: Existing presets will be overwritten when saving a new station. DAB presets do not overwrite FM presets.
Main Menu (DAB Mode)
When listening to DAB radio, press and hold
- Scan: Scan for DAB radio stations.
- Manual Tune: Enter manual tuning frequency (5A to 13F) and perform a manual scan.
- Prune Invalid: Delete DAB stations that can no longer be received.
- Sleep: Set the sleep timer. Multiple timer options are available. Select "Off" to cancel.
- Time/Date: Set Time/Date manually, set hour system (12/24 hr), set date format (DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY), choose clock style (analog/digital), and configure Auto Update (recommended for DAB).
- Backlight: Adjust brightness (High, Medium, Low). Set backlight timeout duration.
Main Menu (FM Mode)
While in FM mode, press and hold
- Scan setting: Choose between "Strong station" or "All station" scan.
- Audio setting: Select "Mono" or "Stereo". "Mono" provides better reception if the signal is weak.
- System: Options are the same as DAB mode (except "manual tune" and "prune invalid"). Refer to the DAB section.
FAQ
If you encounter problems with your DAB radio, try these quick checks:
- Radio not turning on/not working: Connect the USB cable to charge the battery and try powering on again.
- No DAB reception: Perform a "Factory Reset", adjust antenna length and direction, move the radio closer to a window, or perform a Full Scan from the main menu.
- Poor radio reception: Adjust antenna length and direction. Check for nearby electrical equipment causing interference.
- No sound: Adjust the volume level. Try changing to other radio channels to see if sound is present.
