1. Einleitung

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, configuration, and operation of the SOYO X99 BSF motherboard. It is designed to assist users in setting up their system correctly and efficiently. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning the installation process.

2. Einrichtung und Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your SOYO X99 BSF motherboard and its components.

2.1 Motherboard-Layout

2.2 CPU-Installation

1. Ensure the motherboard is placed on a non-conductive surface.
2. Locate the LGA2011-V3 CPU socket. Open the CPU retention mechanism by releasing die beiden Hebel.
3. Carefully align the CPU (Intel Xeon E5 LGA2011-V3 series) with the socket, ensuring the gold triangle on the CPU matches the triangle on the socket. Do not force the CPU into the socket.

2.3 Installation des Arbeitsspeichers (RAM)

2.4 Installation des Speichergeräts

2.4.1 M.2 NVMe/SATA SSD Installation

1. Locate the two M.2 slots on the motherboard. The upper slot supports NVMe (PCIe 3.0 x4) and SATA 3.0 protocols, while the lower slot supports NVMe (PCIe 3.0 x4) only.
2. Setzen Sie die M.2 SSD in einem Winkel von 30 Grad in den Steckplatz ein.

2.4.2 SATA 3.0 Device Installation

1. Connect one end of the SATA data cable to one of the four SATA 3.0 interfaces on the motherboard.

• FPANEL (Front Panel Header): Connect the power switch, reset switch, power LED, and HDD activity LED from your PC case.
• USB 2.0-Anschluss: Connects to front panel USB 2.0 ports (expandable to 2 ports).
• USB 3.0-Anschluss: Connects to front panel USB 3.0 ports (expandable to 2 ports).

• PS/2-Anschlüsse: 1 x PS/2 Keyboard port (green), 1 x PS/2 Mouse port (purple).
• USB 2.0 Ports: 2 x USB 2.0 ports (black).
• USB 3.0 Ports: 4 x USB 3.0 ports (blue).
• RJ45 LAN-Anschluss: 1 x Gigabit Ethernet port for network connection.
• Audiobuchsen: 1 x Line Out (green), 1 x MIC In (pink), 1 x Line In (blue) for audio devices.

2.8-Zoll-PCIe-Karteninstallation

1. Locate the PCIe x16 3.0 slot (PCIe1, from CPU) for graphics cards and the PCIe x1 2.0 slot (PCIe2, from PCH) for other expansion cards.

3. Align the expansion card with the PCIe slot and press down firmly until it is seated correctly.

• Kabelmanagement: Ensure cables are neatly routed to prevent obstruction of airflow and to facilitate future maintenance.

5. Fehlerbehebung

Sollten Probleme auftreten, beachten Sie bitte die folgenden gängigen Schritte zur Fehlerbehebung:

• Kein Strom: Check all power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin EPS) from the PSU to the motherboard. Ensure the PSU is switched on.
• Kein Bildschirm: Verify that the graphics card is properly seated in the PCIe slot and that the monitor cable is securely connected to the graphics card. If using integrated graphics (not applicable for this motherboard as it requires a dedicated GPU), ensure the monitor is connected to the motherboard's video output.
• Systeminstabilität/Abstürze: Check memory modules for proper seating. Test memory with diagnostic tools. Ensure CPU cooler is properly installed and making good contact. Check for overheating.
• Komponente nicht erkannt: Re-seat the component (e.g., RAM, M.2 SSD, SATA drive, PCIe card). Check power and data cables. Ensure drivers are installed.
