1. Einleitung

This kit provides a reliable and efficient power solution for all your Scheppach IXES 20V cordless tools. It includes a 20V / 4.0 Ah battery and a compact 2.4 A charger, designed for maximum flexibility and simplified use with a single battery system. Please read this manual carefully before first use to ensure safe and optimal operation of your product.

2. Sicherheitshinweise

Beachten Sie stets die folgenden Sicherheitsvorkehrungen, um Stromschläge, Brände und schwere Verletzungen zu vermeiden.

• Lies alle Anweisungen: Before using the battery and charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery, and product using the battery.
• Charge only Scheppach IXES batteries: This charger is designed exclusively for Scheppach IXES 20V Lithium-Ion batteries. Do not attempt to charge other types of batteries, as this may cause personal injury and damage.
• Vermeiden Sie gefährliche Umgebungen: Laden Sie den Akku nicht in damp oder an feuchten Orten. Setzen Sie das Ladegerät weder Regen noch Schnee aus.
• Für ausreichende Belüftung sorgen: Sorgen Sie während des Ladevorgangs für ausreichende Belüftung. Decken Sie weder das Ladegerät noch den Akku ab.
• Use appropriate power supply: Connect the charger only to a standard household power supply (230V AC, 50Hz).

4. Einrichtung

4.1 Erstladung des Akkus

1. Connect the charger to a suitable power outlet. The charger's LED indicator may light up briefly.
2. Slide the 20V / 4.0 Ah battery onto the charger until it clicks into place. Ensure a secure connection.
3. The charger's LED indicator will show the charging status. Refer to the 'Operating Instructions' section for LED indicator details.
4. Allow the battery to charge completely before first use. A full charge for the 4.0 Ah battery takes approximately 120 minutes.

4.2 Attaching Battery to Tool

Once charged, slide the battery into the battery slot of your Scheppach IXES 20V cordless tool until it locks securely. To remove, press the release button(s) on the battery and slide it out.

5. Bedienungsanleitung

5.1 Akkuladestandsanzeige

The battery features a 3-level LED indicator to show the remaining charge capacity. Press the button on the battery to activate the indicator.

• 3 LEDs leuchten: Full charge (approx. 67-100%)
• 2 LEDs leuchten: Medium charge (approx. 34-66%)
• 1 LED leuchtet: Low charge (approx. 1-33%). Recharge soon.
• 1 LED blinkt: Battery almost empty. Recharge immediately.

5.2 Charger LED Indicator

The charger has an LED indicator that shows the charging status:

• Durchgängig rot: Ladevorgang läuft.
• Durchgängig grün: Ladevorgang abgeschlossen.
• Rot blinkend: Error (e.g., battery too hot/cold, faulty battery).

5.3 Intelligent Cell Management

The battery is equipped with individual cell management, which protects against overheating and overvoltage. This system ensures consistent charging and discharging processes, significantly extending the battery's lifespan and operating time by minimizing the risk of overcharging or deep discharge.

6. Wartung

6.1 Reinigung

• Vor der Reinigung immer den Stecker des Ladegeräts aus der Stromversorgung ziehen.
• Verwenden Sie ein trockenes, weiches Tuch, um den Akku und das Ladegerät zu reinigen.
• Do not use any liquids or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Halten Sie die Lüftungsschlitze am Ladegerät frei von Staub und Schmutz.

6.2 Speicherung

• Store the battery and charger in a dry, frost-free environment.
• Ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and 20°C (50°F and 68°F).
• For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% capacity. Recharge every 6 months to prevent deep discharge.
• The robust housing with rubber coating provides excellent resistance to impacts, dust, and corrosion, ensuring durability.
• The charger features an integrated wall mount for convenient storage.
