4. Installation
The Aroha Safety Pro Combimelder is designed for easy installation. Follow these steps for optimal placement and secure mounting.
4.1 Recommended Placement:
- Install at least one detector on each floor of your home, including the basement.
- Place detectors in or near sleeping areas.
- For smoke detection, mount on the ceiling in the center of the room, or at least 10 cm (4 inches) from any wall.
- For CO detection, place the detector at breathing height in rooms with fuel-burning appliances.
- Avoid placing near windows, doors, or ventilation openings that could interfere with detection.
- Avoid placing in 'dead air' spaces, such as the peak of a vaulted ceiling or in corners.

5. Bedienung
Once installed, the Aroha Safety Pro Combimelder operates continuously, monitoring for smoke and carbon monoxide.
5.1 Normalbetrieb:
During normal operation, the LED indicator will flash briefly every 55 seconds, indicating that the unit is functioning correctly.
5.2 Smoke Alarm:
If smoke is detected, the alarm will sound with a loud, intermittent siren (three long beeps, pause, three long beeps) and the red LED will flash rapidly. This indicates a potential fire hazard.

5.3 Carbon Monoxide (CO) Alarm:
If dangerous levels of carbon monoxide are detected, the alarm will sound with a loud, intermittent siren (four short beeps, pause, four short beeps) and the red LED will flash rapidly. This indicates a potential CO poisoning hazard.
The detector provides early warnings for various CO concentrations:

If the smoke or CO concentration remains high, the alarm will reactivate after the mute period. Do not silence an alarm unless you are certain it is a false alarm.

6. Testen
