1. Einleitung

The Einhell TE-MA 1700 wall chaser is designed for cutting horizontal and vertical grooves and channels in masonry, primarily for laying pipes and cables. This tool facilitates precise cutting operations on hard materials, offering an efficient alternative to manual methods. Its 1700 W motor drives two parallel cutting discs, enabling accurate groove creation. The tool features continuous adjustment of cutting depth and individual width adjustment for various groove sizes. Safety features include soft start and overload protection. A guide roller and auxiliary handle provide a secure grip for controlled use. The spindle lock system simplifies disc changes. An adapter is included for connecting a wet/dry vacuum cleaner to reduce dust during operation. The 4-meter power cable provides a flexible working range. 4. Einrichtung

4.1. Installing Cutting Discs

1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät von der Stromversorgung getrennt ist.
2. Halten Sie die Spindelarretiertaste gedrückt.
3. Use the hex key to loosen the clamping nut and remove the outer flange.
4. Place the diamond cutting discs onto the spindle, ensuring the rotation direction arrows on the discs match the arrow on the tool. For two discs, place a spacer between them.
5. Reinstall the outer flange and tighten the clamping nut securely with the hex key while holding the spindle lock button.

4.2. Schnitttiefe einstellen

The cutting depth can be adjusted continuously to suit your application.

1. Lösen Sie den Tiefeneinstellknopf.
2. Move the guide plate to the desired depth indicated on the scale (up to 40 mm).
3. Tighten the depth adjustment knob firmly to secure the setting.

4.3. Adjusting Cutting Width

The cutting width can be adjusted by adding or removing spacers between the cutting discs.

1. Follow the steps for installing cutting discs (Section 4.1).
2. Insert or remove spacers as needed to achieve the desired cutting width (up to 38 mm).
3. Ensure all components are securely tightened before operation.

4.4. Anschluss der Staubabsaugung

For a cleaner work environment and improved visibility, connect a wet/dry vacuum cleaner to the dust extraction adapter.

1. Attach the hose of a suitable wet/dry vacuum cleaner to the dust extraction port on the wall chaser.
2. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Verbindung sicher ist, um das Eindringen von Staub zu verhindern.

5. Bedienung

5.1. Starten des Tools

After ensuring all safety precautions are met and the setup is complete:

1. Schließen Sie das Werkzeug an eine geeignete Steckdose an.
2. Halten Sie das Werkzeug mit beiden Händen fest.
3. Press the ON/OFF switch. The soft start feature will gradually bring the discs to full speed.

5.2. Schneidetechnik

The Einhell TE-MA 1700 is designed for a pulling cut motion.

1. Position the tool with the guide plate flat against the workpiece.
2. Engage the power switch.
3. Slowly guide the tool along the desired cutting line, pulling it towards you. Apply steady, even pressure.
4. Avoid forcing the tool, as this can trigger the overload protection.
5. For deeper channels, multiple passes may be required.
6. After cutting, the material between the two grooves can be removed using a hammer drill or chisel.

5.3. Working on Different Materials

This wall chaser is suitable for masonry materials. Always ensure the diamond cutting discs are appropriate for the specific material being cut.

6. Wartung

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your tool. Always disconnect the power plug before any maintenance work.

6.1. Reinigung

• After each use, clean the tool thoroughly, especially the ventilation slots and the area around the cutting discs.
• Use a brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris. Do not use water or chemical cleaning agents.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Staubabsaugöffnung frei von Verstopfungen ist.

6.2. Austausch der Disc

Replace cutting discs when they become worn or damaged. Refer to Section 4.1 for disc installation instructions.
