Einrichtung und Vorbereitung

1. Select Rivet Size: Determine the size of the domed rivets you intend to install. The kit supports rivets with diameters up to 10mm.
2. Choose Appropriate Tools:
   • Select the rivet setter that matches your rivet size (6mm, 8mm, or 10mm). Note that setters can also be used for slightly smaller rivets (e.g., 6mm setter for 4mm/5mm rivets, 8mm setter for 7mm rivets, 10mm setter for 9mm rivets) with careful operation.
   • Select the corresponding double-sided base. One base is designed for 6mm and 8mm rivets, and the other for 8mm and 10mm rivets. Ensure the correct side of the base is used for your chosen rivet size.
   • Choose the appropriate hole punch (2.5mm or 3.5mm) based on the rivet post diameter.

Bedienungsanleitung

Follow these steps to effectively set domed rivets:

1. Schlagloch: Use the selected hole punch and a hammer to create a hole in your material where the rivet will be placed. Ensure the hole size is appropriate for the rivet post.
2. Niete einsetzen: Insert the rivet post through the punched hole from the front side of your material.
3. Place Cap: Place the rivet cap onto the rivet post on the back side of your material.
4. Positionsbasis: Place the appropriate double-sided base on your work surface with the correct size indentation facing upwards. Position the rivet cap onto this indentation.
5. Use Setter: Place the selected rivet setter directly over the rivet head. Hold the setter firmly and vertically.
6. Hammer: Strike the top of the rivet setter with a hammer. Apply firm, even blows until the rivet is securely set and the cap is flattened against the material. Avoid excessive force, which can damage the rivet or material.

Wartung

• Clean tools after each use to remove any material residue.
