1. Einrichtung

1.1 Auspacken und Aufstellen

Carefully remove the receiver from its packaging. Place the receiver on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation to prevent overheating. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight. Ensure there is sufficient space around the unit for airflow.

Refer to the diagram above for the location of each connection port when connecting your components.

1.3 Lautsprecheranschlüsse

Verbinden Sie Ihre Lautsprecher mit dem LAUTSPRECHER A or LAUTSPRECHER B terminals on the rear panel. Ensure correct polarity (red to red / + to + and black to black / - to -) for each speaker. The receiver is designed for speakers with an impedance of 8 Ohms. Using speakers with lower impedance may cause damage to the receiver.

1.4 Audio/Video Component Connections

Connect your audio and video sources (e.g., CD player, DVD player, game console, TV) to the corresponding analog (RCA) or digital (optical/coaxial) input jacks. For digital audio, use either the OPTIK or KOAXIAL inputs. Ensure that the input selected on the receiver matches the connected component.

1.5 Netzwerkverbindung

For network functionality, connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the ETHERNET port on the receiver's rear panel. Alternatively, for wireless connectivity, an optional Onkyo UWF-1 Wireless LAN adapter can be connected to the USB port.

1.6 iPod/iPhone Direct Digital Connection

Verbinden Sie Ihren iPod oder Ihr iPhone mit dem FRONT-PANEL USB PORT for direct digital audio playback. This connection charges your device and ensures high-quality audio transmission by bypassing the device's internal DAC.

1.7 Phono-Eingänge

Connect your turntable to the dedicated PHONO-EINGANG. This input is specifically designed for turntables with a magnetic cartridge. If your turntable has a ceramic cartridge or a built-in pre-amplifier, use a standard analog audio input instead.

1.8 Zone 2 Pre-Outs

To send a stereo audio signal to a second room, connect an external amplifier and speakers to the ZONE 2 PRE OUT RCA jacks. You can play the same audio source as the main zone or a different source in Zone 2, depending on your configuration.

2. Bedienungsanleitung

2.1 Ein-/Ausschalten

Drücken Sie die LEISTUNG button on the front panel or the remote control to turn the receiver on or off. The power indicator will illuminate when the unit is on.

2.2 Eingangsauswahl

Verwenden Sie die EINGANGSWAHLSCHALTER buttons on the front panel or the corresponding source buttons (e.g., CD, TUNER, NET, USB) on the remote control to switch between connected audio sources. The selected input will be displayed on the receiver's front panel.

2.3 Lautstärkeregelung

2.4 Netzwerkfunktionen

Access internet radio stations and audio files from your PC or network storage device via the NETTO input. The receiver supports DLNA 1.5 for streaming from Windows 7 platforms. Ensure your network connection is active for these features.

Remote Apps: Download the official Onkyo Remote App for iPod touch/iPhone or Android from your device's app store. These apps allow you to control input source selection, adjust settings, and (for Android devices) stream music directly from your portable device over your wireless network.

2.5 USB-Wiedergabe

Connect a USB flash drive or an iPod/iPhone to the front USB port. Use the receiver's controls or remote to navigate and play audio files. The receiver incorporates Advanced Music Optimizer technology to enhance the quality of compressed audio signals during playback.

2.6-Zoll-AM/FM-Tuner

Familiarize yourself with the remote control layout for convenient operation of all receiver functions from a distance. Ensure batteries are correctly installed.

3. Wartung

3.1 Reinigung

Wipe the receiver's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents, as these can damage the finish. Ensure the unit is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

3.2 Belüftung

Ensure that the ventilation openings on the top and sides of the receiver are not blocked by other components, cloths, or dust. Proper airflow is crucial to prevent overheating and ensure long-term performance and reliability of the unit.

4. Fehlerbehebung

4.1 Kein Strom

  • Ensure your device is connected to the front USB port.
  • Some older iPod models may have limited compatibility.
  • Try restarting your device and reconnecting it.

4.5 AM Radio Static

  • The supplied AM loop antenna may require optimal positioning for clear reception.
  • Try relocating the antenna away from other electronic devices that may cause interference.

4.6 Überhitzung

  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the receiver. Do not stack other components directly on top of it.
  • If the receiver feels excessively hot, power it off and allow it to cool before resuming use.
