LMMF Simplified Wiring – Harness Install Guide
CONNECT THE ECM
- Use the 2x 7mm bolts to mount your ECM.
- The ECM connectors are color-coded: Blue and Clear — match them accordingly.
COIL PACK POWER
- Locate the loom with 2 plugs.
- Plug 1: Install the Coil Power plug on the side closest to the alternator.
- Plug 2: Install the second plug on the opposite side of the coil pack, next to the crank sensor.
- Note: The crank sensor wire runs from the coil pack to the back of the engine block.
SENSOR CONNECTIONS (3-PLUG LOOM)
You’ll find a loom with:
- 1x Gray plug
- 1x 4-pin Black plug
- 1x 3-pin plug
Plug them in as follows:
- Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) – Sometimes hard to see
- Idle Air Control (IAC) – Plug this in directly
- Intake Air Temp (IAT)
ALTERNATOR & INJECTOR HARNESS
Locate the final loom which includes:
- Alternator plug
- Injector harness plugs
Your engine should have plugs that match.
Note: If your engine is from 1989–1995, you will need a injector harness (we make them new) Also:
- Plug in the 5-pin connector
- Plug in the 10-pin connector
- Plug in the alternator
OR if it’s a 2000-2005 it will only have 1 16 pin plug in place of the 5-pin connector and the 10 pin connector.
MAIN POWER WIRING
- Run a wire from the large post on the alternator to your battery positive.
- Run a heavy gauge wire from:
- Starter power → Battery
- Crank wire → Push button starter
BATTERY & TOGGLE WIRING
- Locate the grey-coated wire pack with a red and black — these go directly to the battery.
- A single red wire should be connected to your toggle switch or other “ignition” kill method.
- New harnesses only have 1 power and 1 ground to avoid confusion. If you want it to have memory power call me and I can walk you through setting that up.
TRANSMISSION HOTWIRE
You’ll need to hotwire your transmission.
