This guide provides instructions on how to install the Jabra GN8210 Digital Audio Enhancer with Cisco IP telephones.
Installation for Cisco IP Telephones with RJ9 Headset Jack
First, check if the Cisco telephone has an RJ9 headset jack. Using this jack is recommended for easier call handling.
- Connect the provided connection cord from the amplifier's "telephone icon" jack to the Cisco phone's headset jack.
- Connect the quick disconnect cord to the amplifier's headset jack and the other end to the headset's quick disconnect cord.
- Install batteries into the amplifier's battery compartment or connect the optional AC power supply.
- With the amplifier's lid open, adjust the "battery saving feature" switch (if applicable) and the blue transmit volume knob.
- Locate the compatibility switch below the battery compartment, set it to "B", and close the lid.
- Set the headset/handset (or phone/pc) toggle switch to "headset/phone" mode. Ensure the mute toggle switch is not set to mute. If the Cisco phone is configured for headset use, you can now use the headset by pressing the Cisco phone's headset button.

- Locate the compatibility switch below the battery compartment, set it to "A", and close the lid.
