Be sure to re-install the dipstick tube with the stands. header. Tighten all the bolts. STEP 2 STEP 7 Carefully disconnect the spark plug wires, heat shields and engine bracket to allow access to the exhaust manifold bolts. (The heat shields and bracket will not be re-used). Re-install the spark plugs, wires, EGR connections and any other parts removed for the install. STEP 3 Disconnect the EGR tube attached to the fitting on the passenger side exhaust manifold. This tube will be re-installed on the BBK Header. STEP 8 From under the truck, reconnect the Y-Pipe assembly. Use the supplied flat washers. STEP 4 From under the truck, carefully remove the 4 collector nuts attaching the manifolds to the Y-Pipe. STEP 9 Reconnect the negative battery terminal and start the engine to check for any leaks. Header bolts should be rechecked after a few hundred miles of driving. STEP 5 Remove all of the exhaust manifold bolts and remove them from the vehicle. Clean the old gasket material from the head surface. NOTE! Dipstick tube must be removed with the exhaust manifolds and the mounting flange side ground down to fit under the new header bolt.
