Connecting Your iZEEKER GD850 Dash Cam to the iZEEKER Tour App
For iPhone Users
To connect your iZEEKER GD850 dash cam to your iPhone, please follow these steps:
- Download and install the "iZEEKER Tour" application from the App Store. The GD850's WiFi can only connect to one mobile device at a time.
- When connecting to the dash cam's WiFi, turn off "Cellular" data on your iPhone. It is also recommended to forget or disconnect from your usual home WiFi network in your WLAN settings to prevent interference and potential disconnections.
- Upon connecting to the dash cam's WiFi, your iPhone may display a "No Internet Connection" message. This is normal, as the GD850 dash cam does not provide internet access. A successful connection is indicated by a blue checkmark ✔️ next to the dash cam's network name (e.g., "GD850-14f5f96331ff") in your iPhone's WiFi settings. Once connected, open the "iZEEKER Tour" app.
- When opening the "iZEEKER Tour" app for the first time, you will be prompted to grant permissions. Allow location and network access for proper functionality.
Permission Prompts:
- A screen will ask: "Allow 'iZeeker Tour' to use your location?" with options: "Precise: On", "Allow Once", "Allow While Using App", and "Don't Allow".
- Another screen will ask if the app can "discover and connect to devices on your local network" with options: "Allow" and "Don't Allow".
If the app shows it cannot connect normally, navigate to your iPhone's settings to configure the network connection. The settings menu allows access to WLAN and Wireless Data configurations.
For transferring large video files, it is recommended to use an SD card reader or USB transfer, as the 2.4G WiFi is best suited for machine control or small file transfers like images.
For Android Users
To connect your iZEEKER GD850 dash cam to your Android phone, please follow these steps:
- Download and install the "iZEEKER Tour" application from Google Play. The GD850's WiFi can only connect to one mobile device at a time.
- When connecting to the dash cam's WiFi, turn off "Mobile network" data on your Android phone. It is also recommended to forget or disconnect from your usual home WiFi network in your WLAN settings to prevent interference and potential disconnections.
- After successfully connecting to WiFi, when opening the app for the first time, you will be prompted to grant permissions for location and storage access to ensure proper functionality. Allow these permissions.
Permission Prompts:
- Two pop-up screens will request "Storage" and "Locating phone" permissions, with options such as "Do not ask again after disabling", "Disallow", and "Always Allow".
For transferring large video files, it is recommended to use an SD card reader or USB transfer, as the 2.4G WiFi is best suited for dash cam control or small file transfers like images. When playing back videos via WiFi, it is suggested to download them first to avoid playback issues.
