Extremus Adult Ski Helmet User Manual

Extremus Adult Ski Helmet User Manual

Important Tips

READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS HELMET.

All helmets sold by Extremus meet the most common U.S.-based standards for ski helmet certification, known as ASTM F2040. The helmets are designed exclusively for adults and are not intended for use by children.

Although a ski helmet that meets the standards will help reduce the risk of some types of injuries to the head at slower speeds, the protection is limited. This helmet is specifically designed for snow sports (skiing and snowboarding) and is not intended for use on motorcycles or other motorized vehicles.

The helmet may be damaged by paints, solvents, bleach, or strong detergents, sometimes invisibly. Please exercise caution when using these chemicals.

The helmet can only provide protection for the areas it covers (e.g., it does not protect your neck).

No helmet can protect against all possible impacts, and for maximum protection, the helmet must be fitted and attached properly to the wearer's head following the manufacturer's FITTING INSTRUCTIONS.

Upon impact, the helmet may sustain damage that renders it inadequate for further head protection, and this damage may not be visible to the user. If the helmet has been impacted, it should be destroyed and replaced. Even if a helmet is never dropped or crashed, it is still not recommended for use beyond five years.

Fit the Ear Pads

Step-by-step diagrams demonstrate attaching ear pads by inserting them into the helmet and securing them with the strap and buckle.

Using With Goggles

  1. Open the snap of the Goggles Loop.
  2. Attach the head strap of the ski goggles on the helmet.
  3. Close the snap of the Goggles Loop.

Diagrams show the process of opening and closing a snap on the goggle loop and attaching the ski goggle strap to the helmet.

Important: There should be no gap between the top of your goggles and the helmet.

Maintenance And Care

Important: Inspect your helmet before each use. If there are signs of damage, stop using and replace with a new one immediately.

Cleaning

Removable fleece liner and ear guards are washable. Recommended cleaning way: gentle hand washing. This helps avoid the fleece liner and ear pads losing their shape.

Attention:

Avoid using any harsh chemicals like bleach or detergent, as this will degrade the skin-friendly materials. Avoid washing by washing machine. ?❌

Storage

Do not store the helmet in a wet environment or near a heat source or strong UV radiation. ☀️?️❌

Icons depict cleaning and storage guidelines: a crossed-out washing machine ?❌, a warning for harsh chemicals ☠️❌, and a warning for heat and UV radiation ☀️?️❌.

Fitting Instructions

Important: To ensure maximum protection and comfort, please choose the right helmet size according to the FITTING INSTRUCTIONS.

  1. Unlock the Strap Buckle, then put on the helmet. Make sure the helmet is positioned horizontally on your head.
  2. Adjust the wearing height of the helmet so that the helmet can neither expose your forehead nor block your vision.
  3. Shake your head lightly to test if your helmet is well fitted. The helmet should hold onto your head when you move it front and back or side-to-side.
  4. After fitting comfortably, tighten the Chin Strap by adjusting through the Sliding Buckle.
  5. Lock the Strap Buckle to ensure that the strap does not slip.
  6. Turn the Size Adjustment Dial clockwise to make the Fleece Liner tighter; turn the Size Adjustment Dial counterclockwise to make the Fleece Liner looser.

Diagrams guide the user through fitting the helmet, including positioning, strap adjustment using the sliding buckle, and using the size adjustment dial.

Tip: Please try a smaller size if the helmet moves around on your head easily.

Removable Ear Pads

Remove the Ear Pads

  1. Unlock the Strap Buckle; pass the strap through the Ear Pad Loop.
  2. Pull out the ear pad from the helmet.
  3. Remove the ear pad on the other side in the same way.

Diagrams illustrate how to unlock the strap buckle, pass it through the ear pad loop, and then pull out the ear pad.
