The Milesight VS370-915M sensor features several key hardware components:

The sensor supports connectivity and features such as OTA (Over-The-Air updates), D2D (Milesight's D2D protocol), and PIR (Passive Infrared) compatibility indication.

3. Button Description

The sensor's functions are controlled via its buttons and battery insertion/removal:

Function Action
Power On/Off Install the batteries to power on; remove batteries to power off.
Reboot Remove the batteries.
Reset to Factory Default Press and hold the reset button for over 10 seconds.

4. Power Supply

The sensor is powered by two ER14505 Li-SOCl₂ batteries. The diagram illustrates the correct method for inserting these batteries into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals are aligned correctly.

5. Configuration

The Milesight VS370-915M can be configured using the "Milesight ToolBox" mobile application, available for both Android and iOS smartphones. Configuration can be performed via Bluetooth or NFC.

NFC Configuration:

  1. Download and install the "Milesight ToolBox" App from your smartphone's app store. Ensure your smartphone supports NFC.
  2. Enable the NFC function on your smartphone.
  3. Open the "Milesight ToolBox" App. Place your smartphone's NFC area against the sensor's NFC area. The app will read or write data to the device, displaying a success prompt upon completion.
  4. For enhanced security, it is strongly recommended to set a custom password for the device. The default password is '123456'.

Bluetooth Configuration:

  1. Download and install the "Milesight ToolBox" App from your smartphone's app store. Ensure your smartphone supports Bluetooth.
  2. Enable Bluetooth and location services on your smartphone.
  3. Open the "Milesight ToolBox" App. Select the Bluetooth configuration method, search for the target device, and initiate a connection.
  4. Enter the Bluetooth password to read or write device data. A success prompt will appear upon successful connection.
  5. For enhanced security, it is strongly recommended to set a custom password for the device. The default password is '123456'.

6. Installation

Location: The sensor should be mounted on a wall at a height between 2.5 and 2.9 meters. Ceiling installation is not supported.

Installation Steps:

  1. Step 1: Prepare the mounting surface and attach the bracket.
  2. Step 2: Mount the sensor onto the bracket.
  3. Step 3: Adjust the sensor's tilt angle to optimize detection coverage.
  4. Step 4: Ensure the sensor is securely installed and positioned correctly.
