1. Introduction
The JBL Charge 5 is a portable Bluetooth speaker designed to deliver powerful JBL Original Pro Sound. 2. What's in the Box
Upon unboxing your JBL Charge 5, please ensure all the following items are present:

3. Setup
3.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your JBL Charge 5 speaker. Connect the provided Type-C to Type-A charging cable to the USB-C port on the speaker and a compatible power source. A full charge typically takes approximately 4 hours.
3.2 Power On/Off
To power on the speaker, press the power button located on the top panel. The power indicator light will illuminate. To power off, press and hold the power button until the indicator light turns off.
3.3 Bluetooth Pairing
To connect your device via Bluetooth:
- Power on the JBL Charge 5.
- Press the Bluetooth button on the top panel. The Bluetooth indicator light will flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- On your smartphone or tablet, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and select "JBL Charge 5" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light will remain solid.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Volume Control
Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the top panel to adjust the volume. Press '+' to increase volume and '-' to decrease volume.
4.2 JBL PartyBoost
The PartyBoost feature allows you to connect multiple JBL PartyBoost-enabled speakers for a synchronized audio experience. To activate PartyBoost, press the infinity symbol button on all desired speakers. They will automatically connect and play the same audio source.
4.3 Charging External Devices (Powerbank)
The JBL Charge 5 can act as a power bank to charge your external devices. Open the protective flap on the back of the speaker to reveal the USB-A port. Connect your device's charging cable to this port to begin charging.
