WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions could result in fire, explosion, or burn hazard, which could cause property damage, personal injury, or death.

  • For outdoor use only. Do not operate indoors or in an enclosed area.
  • Keep children and pets away from the grill at all times.
  • Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance.
  • Always ensure the grill is placed on a stable, level, non-combustible surface. The base of the grill is designed to remain cool during operation, allowing placement on various surfaces including wooden tables.
  • Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
  • Always connect and disconnect the gas cylinder outdoors.
  • Check for gas leaks before each use. Apply a soapy water solution to connections; bubbles indicate a leak. Do not use the grill if a leak is detected.
  • Never leave the grill unattended while in use.
  • Allow the grill to cool completely before moving or cleaning.

4. Setup and Assembly

The NOMADIQ grill requires no assembly and is ready for use directly out of the box. Setup typically takes less than one minute.

  1. Unlock the Grill: Place the grill on a stable, flat surface. Locate the locking mechanisms on the sides of the grill and unlock them.
  2. Unfold the Grill: Gently open the grill halves until they are fully extended and the cooking surfaces are flat. The grill's legs will automatically deploy.
  3. Connect the Gas: Attach the provided gas hose and regulator to a standard 1-pound (16oz) propane tank. Ensure the connection is secure. Then, connect the other end of the hose to the gas inlet on the grill.
  4. Perform a Leak Test: Before first use and after any gas cylinder change, perform a leak test. Apply a soapy water solution to all gas connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Tighten connections and retest. If leaks persist, do not use the grill.

5. Operating Instructions

The NOMADIQ grill features two independent cooking surfaces, each with its own burner and temperature control.

  1. Ignition: After connecting the gas, turn the desired burner control knob to the 'HIGH' position. Press and hold the electronic ignition button until the burner ignites. Release the button once lit. Repeat for the other burner if needed.
  2. Preheating: Close the grill halves (if desired) and allow the grill to preheat for approximately 2-3 minutes. The grill can reach an average maximum temperature of 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius).
  3. Temperature Control: Adjust the individual control knobs to achieve the desired cooking temperature for each side. The dual control allows for different cooking zones.
  4. Cooking: Place food on the non-stick cooking grates. Monitor food and adjust heat as necessary.
  5. Shutting Down: When finished cooking, turn both burner control knobs to the 'OFF' position. Close the valve on the propane tank. Allow the grill to cool completely before handling.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your grill.

  1. Cool Down: Always allow the grill to cool for approximately 10 minutes after use before cleaning.
  2. Remove Drip Trays: The two drip trays located at the bottom of each grill half collect grease and drippings. Remove them and dispose of contents. The drip trays can be wiped clean or washed with warm soapy water.
  3. Clean Cooking Grates: The non-stick, ceramic-coated cooking grates are removable for easy cleaning. They are rust-resistant and dishwasher safe. For best results, hand wash with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
  4. Clean Burners: The stainless steel burners can be removed for cleaning. Ensure burner ports are clear of debris.
  5. Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior surfaces of the grill with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

7. Storage

To store the grill:

  1. Ensure the grill is completely cool and clean.
  2. Disconnect the gas hose and propane tank.
  3. Fold the grill halves together. Ensure the locking mechanisms engage securely. Note: Ensure the base legs are folded in last to allow the unit to close fully.
  4. The grill can be carried using the integrated handle or the included shoulder strap for hands-free transport.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Grill does not ignite:
    • Check if the propane tank is connected correctly and has fuel.
    • Ensure the gas valve on the tank is fully open.
    • Verify that the burner control knob is turned to 'HIGH' before pressing the ignition button.
    • Check for any obstructions in the burner ports.
  • Uneven heating:
    • Ensure the grill is preheated adequately.
    • Clean the burner tubes and cooking grates to remove any blockages.
  • Grill does not close fully:
    • Ensure all internal components, especially the drip trays and grates, are correctly seated.
    • Confirm that the base legs are folded in after the main grill body is closed and locked. Attempting to fold the legs first can prevent proper closure.
  • Gas leak detected (soapy water test):
    • Immediately turn off the gas supply at the tank.
    • Tighten all gas connections.
    • Repeat the leak test. If the leak persists, do not use the grill and contact customer support.
