Scanner Components:

4. Configuració

The Riokko YM119 scanner is designed for quick and easy setup. No batteries are required as it draws power directly from the vehicle's OBDII port.

  1. Locate the vehicle's 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC). The DLC is usually located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for the exact location if you cannot find it.
  2. Turn the vehicle's ignition to the OFF position.

5.1. Diagnosis Menu

From the main menu, select 'Diagnosis' and press OK to enter the diagnostic functions.

    This function reads the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored in the vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU). These codes indicate specific issues detected by the vehicle's onboard diagnostic system.

    1. Select 'Read Codes' and press OK.
    2. The scanner will display any stored Pending, Confirmed, or Permanent DTCs.
    3. Use UP/DOWN to scroll through codes if multiple are present.

    1. Select 'Erase Codes' and press OK.

    Freeze Frame Data is a snapshot of sensor values recorded by the ECU at the moment a DTC was set. This data can help identify the conditions under which the fault occurred.

    1. Selecciona 'View Freeze Frame' and press OK.
    2. The scanner will display the recorded parameters. Use UP/DOWN to scroll.

    I/M Readiness (Inspection/Maintenance Readiness) indicates whether the various emissions-related systems on the vehicle are operating correctly and have completed their self-tests. This is crucial for emissions testing.

    1. Select 'I/M Readiness' and press OK.
    2. The scanner will display the status of various monitors (e.g., Misfire Monitor, Fuel System Monitor, Catalyst Monitor) as 'OK' (complete) or 'INC' (incomplete).

    1. Select 'Live PCM Data' and press OK.
    2. Choose 'View Data' for numerical values or 'Graph Data' for graphical representation (if available for the parameter).
    3. Use UP/DOWN to scroll through parameters.

  1. From the main menu, select 'Battery' or press the 'BAT' button.
