NOTE: Your thermal carafe holds coffee hot for about 2 hours. For best results, preheat the carafe by filling it with hot water, let sit for 30 seconds, then empty it before beginning to brew.
NOTE: Opening the lid during the brew will stop water flowing into the funnel. Coffee will stop flowing out of the funnel when drip-out is complete.
FOR SPEED BREW MODELS: (Excluding Thermal models)
FOR THERMAL MODELS:
Important: Do not use an abrasive device to clean the carafe, because it will scratch the stainless steel. Occasionally, remove the brew-through valve on the Thermal Carafe lid and clean it with mild, non-abrasive detergent. To remove the valve, lift at the edge and pull up. Be sure to clean the passage where the valve is located (the valve is not on all models).
Cleaning the sprayhead tube removes deposits formed by natural mineral content in your water. The more mineral content in your water, the more you should clean.
A good rule of thumb is to clean it every 3 months. If you have very hard water, then twice a month may be necessary.
You will need a toothpick, dish soap, and a soft cloth.
NOTE: For a replacement sprayhead, call customer service at 1- 800-352-2866 (USA) or 1-800-263-2256 (Canada).
Routinely clean your coffee maker every 3 months. More frequency may be needed, depending on the mineral content in your water. Routine cleaning of your coffee maker removes mineral deposits in the internal hot water tank and will prolong the life of your coffee maker.

1. Remove the carafe from the unit and rinse it thoroughly with hot water.

3. Place a paper filter in the basket and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to the filter and discard coffee grounds from previous brew cycle.

On the base of the carafe, I discovered a made in China sticker. Designed and assembled in the US, the packaging boasts. weak word choice.
Coffee with a temperature between 150 and 180 degrees is the most popular. For at least a few hours, a thermal carafe with good insulation can hold coffee at or above these temperatures.
It essentially prevents cold or hot air from entering the carafe and maintains heat trapped inside of it. In contrast to a glass carafe, its double-walled construction can keep your coffee hot for hours.
The coffee maker must first bring the coffee to the proper temperature before it can be kept there in a thermal carafe. Coffee should be brewed between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit for the optimum extraction (4), but not all drip brewers meet this requirement.
A double-walled container with a pour server is known as a thermal carafe. Stainless steel is the material of choice. A vacuum exists between the walls to minimise convectional heat transfer. The contents of the thermal carafe pour servers can maintain heat for hours with very little heat loss.
Keurig 2.0 K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker Compatible with Keurig 2.0 Thermal Carafe 32oz Double-Walled, Vacuum-Insulated, Holds and Dispenses Up to 4 Cups of Hot Coffee, Stainless Steel.
Water, coffee, wine, and other beverages are served in carafes, which are often made of glass or metal and have handles. For warming purposes or as an additional container for serving, many individuals use a carafe to hold their freshly brewed coffee.
Put hot water in and leave the device standing for three to five minutes. Fill the container to the top with the hot beverage before serving. To keep liquid and temperature inside, tighten the lid.
