CONSTRUCTION NOTES
RF Chassis and cabinet is Alu mi-Gold (lridite) finish aluminum. Joints are free of paint for good shielding. Power Supply Section is heavy gage steel. All fasten- ers are self-retained for ease of disassembly and reassembly. (No loose nuts to fall down inside.)

- DL-2000 DUMMY LOAD. A dummy load for tuning radio transmitters having power ratings up to 2000 watts input to the final amplifie’r stage. It includes a changeover relay for switching the transmitter output from the station antenna to the dummy load.
- The dummy load is mounted in a long narrow steel case and has a perforated aluminum cover which measures 24 x 5¼ x 2¼ inches and must be operated in the vertical position,top end up. While designed for mounting on the rear of the LK-2000 Linear Amplifier it may be used with other amplifiers or exciters and may be mounted on any convenient vertical surface.
- The change over relay in the DL-2000 is normally supplied with 115 volt AC coil but may be furnished for other voltages. A thermoswitch with normally closed contacts is set to open when the load reaches its maximum rated temperature of 220 degrees F.
- The contacts of the thermoswitch may be used to shut off the power to the load or to actuate a warning device.
CONNECTIONS
There a re two S0-239 coax connectors for input and output. The control circuits are carried in a 6-foot cable terminated in a 6-prong Cinch-Jones connector.

Special transformers are designed and constructed with ratings to 50 kilovolts and 10 kilowatts. Higher voltage transformers are oil insulated.
