Usage Instructions

PRM Supervisor Console
The PRM Supervisor Console allows administrative users to configure and update software for the PRM system.

Domain Name Configuration

To configure the domain name:

1. Access the PRM Supervisor Console.
2. Locate the Domain Name Configuration section.
3. Enter the desired domain name.
4. Save the changes.

Other PRM Supervisor Console Functions
In addition to domain name configuration, the PRM Supervisor Console offers various other functions for managing the PRM system. These functions may include user management, system settings, and monitoring tools.

PanLHub Supervisor Console
The PanLHub Supervisor Console provides functions for managing the PanLHub system.

PanLHub Supervisor Console Functions
The PanLHub Supervisor Console functions may include configuration settings, software updates, and monitoring tools specific to the PanLHub system.

About This Guide
This guide explains the usage of PRM Supervisor and PanLHub Supervisor Console. The screenshots used are for illustration purpose only.

Note:

1. Ensure the firmware version and package version number are up-to-date and update/upgrade accordingly.
2. For more information about the latest version and compatibility, contact the BRT Systems sales/support.

PRM Supervisor Console

PRM Supervisor Console provides administrative users with the following configuration and software update functions.

Starting PRM Supervisor Console

• Open the PRM Supervisor Console using Mozilla Firefox/Chrome/Safari/Microsoft Edge browser
  • https://<PRM Server 1P>:8081/pages/home and enter the login credentials. For example Username: admin; Password: password. Ensure PRM Server Software is installed successfully and all PRM services are running beforehand.
    After logging in (for the first time), you may set the password in the Set Password interface. Enter the Password and Confirm the same. Click [Set Password].
• Edit the “config.json” file (for On premises exchange server) that is provided as part of the package as highlighted yellow in example below: Table 1 Config.json file for On Premises Exchange Server
• Edit the “config.json” file (for Microsoft365 exchange server) that is provided as part of the package as highlighted yellow in example below:Table 2 Config.json file for Microsoft365 Exchange Server
• Click Config link and browse for “config.json” file that is provided as part of the package. Click [add].
• If the configuration file is uploaded successfully, additional functions will appear as below

Note: Ensure that the PRM License is obtained before proceeding with the following functions -Upload Package, Upload Certificate, Pan|Hub Status, Set Date & Time, and Reset Password. These functions will be displayed only upon obtaining the PRM License. Refer to the steps given under the section Generate License in BRTSYS_AN_039_PRM User Guide – 3. PRM Console for details on obtaining PRM license.

Upload Package
Upload the latest PRM Server or Hub Software for new features, enhancements, or bug fixes. Alternatively, PanLHub package can be uploaded and updated directly through URL https://<PRM_PanLHub IP>:8081/paqes/home without going through PRM Server.

• To upload PRM software update package, click Upload Package link.

To Upload PRM Package

• Choose PRM; Click [Browse] and select the Package and Package signed certificate which comes with the new released package. Upon selecting the packages, click [Upload].
  

To Upload PanLHub Package

• Choose PanLHub. Click [Browse] and select the Package and Package signed certificate which comes with the new released package. Upon selecting the packages, click [Upload].

• An appropriate message is displayed if the upload is successful.

Update Package
Upon uploading the PRM / PanLHub package, update the package. To update package

• Click Home link; Under Action(s), click Update link.

• A confirmation window is displayed. Click [OK].
• A message indicating the upgrade status Initiated, is displayed.
• Upon successful upgrade, the Rollback function is displayed under the Action(s).

Rollback Package

Rollback function is used to return back to a previous package of PRM Server or PanLHub.

To Rollback package –

• Click Home link; Under Action(s), click Rollback link.

• A confirmation window is displayed. Click [OK].

• The rollback progress window is displayed.

• Upon successful rollback, the Version # column is updated with the previous version of PRM Server or PanLHub.

View PanLHub Status
Displays all the PanLHub status that has been paired to the PRM server. If a new PanLHub package is uploaded, admin can manually trigger PanLHub firmware update.
To view PanLHub Status, click PanLHubs status link.

The PanLHub pairing status as well as the IP address are displayed. Take note that PanLHubs that are not paired to the PRM Server before will not appear. To update the PanLHub firmware, select Update under Action.

Set Date & Time
To set the PRM system date and time, click Set Date & Time link.

Manually set the date and time on which the PRM runs on or select or Network Time Protocol (NTP) reference. Click [Set]. Upon setting the time, reboot the PanL Hub.

Upon changing the date and time, PanL Node Service of PRM server and all the PanL Hubs should be re-started.

Note:

1. Network Time Protocol (NTP) is an internet protocol used to synchronize with computer clock time sources in a network.
2. When setting the date and time manually, make sure time zone matches the local time.

Domain & Certificate
This interface is used to update manage domains (update new WMC/API domain name) and Certificate (SSL certificate, SSL certificate key).

Domain Management

• Click Domain & Certificate link.

• Enter the WMC Domain Name; API Domain Name; Click [Choose File] and select SSL Certificate / Certificate Key; Click [Save].
• Upon saving the domain information, click Home link; Restart Nginx service.
• Update the hosts file for the new domain (optional, in case if Local DNS is not available).
• Update the certificate. Refer to Update Certificate for more details.

OR
Upload BRT Certificate Package

• To upload BRT Certificate Package, click [Choose File], select the certificate package. Upon selecting a valid package, click [Upload].

• An appropriate message is displayed if the upload is successful.

• Update the certificate. Refer to Update Certificate for more details.

Update Certificate

Upon updating the Domain Management or uploading the BRT Certificate Package, update the certificate. To update the certificate,

• Click Home link; Under Action(s), click UpdateCertificate link.

• A confirmation window is displayed. Click [OK].
• Upon successful update, the Rollback function is displayed under the Action(s).

RollbackCertificate
RollbackCertificate function is used (if required) to return back to a previous BRT Certificate package. To RollbackCertificate

• Click Home link; Under Action(s), click Rollback link.
• A confirmation window is displayed. Click [OK]. Upon successful rollback, the certificate is removed.

Domain Name Configuration

After the PRM Server Software installation, the network administrator MUST configure the DNS to resolve the following Domains:

• web.<your_domain_name>
• prm.<your_domain_name>

where in the domain name refers to the organization’s domain name. For example, if the organization’s name is ABC Pte Ltd, then the domain name can be abc.com or abc.local.
The DNS records can be created/added in the following ways –

• Local DNS Server
• Global DNS Service

Local DNS
To configure the domains on a local DNS server, ensure the DNS records are created in the exchange server. For illustration purpose exchange server 2016 is used in the example below

Global DNS
To configure a public domain on a purchased GLOBAL DNS host server (for example GODADDY), create the DNS records as shown in the picture below-
